The wind was brushing against Kira's black hair and she could hear the water of the sea crashing against the ship. Finally she could smell it again - the salty sea! She could taste it on the tip of her tongue, and feel it with her entire being.

"You, boy! Go scrub the floor! Stop daydreaming!" Kira heard the voice of the admiral bellowing at her. Annoyed she let herself fall onto her knees and started scrubbing.

"A sailor of great Britain, oh, how did I sink this deep?", she mumbled to herself.
Surely, this was a ship and a ship was where she wanted to be, but she was desperate. She knew, she needed different company. Not those lofty, honourable men with wigs and uniform, no. She wanted pirates! She was longing to stand in front of the rudder, letting her eyes trace the horizon and tasting the rum on her lips. Oh, how Kira missed the rum!

She needed to do something, and with "something" she most certainly did not mean "scrubbing the floor"! But in her current state, with no gun, sword or other weapon, she could do absolutely nothing. And it was bothering her more than the rum problem.

She thought back to the good old days... good, good days. Too long ago...

"And I can go anywhere I want. Freedom! We can go anywhere we want, dear," Jack points to the horizon where the sun is kissing the water, leaving it crimson red, "Wherever our hearts want to be."

Kira takes the bottle from his hand and sips on it, laying back and falling into the sand. "I wanna see her!", she breaths, looking up at the stars. Jack falls into the sand next to her.
Deep in thoughts, he mumbles, "She is... beauty. And grace and... freedom."
"And rum?", she asks.
"And rum!", he answers.

She rolls over in her leather pants and loose shirt. Her neck is covered with laces, medallions and golden jewlery - stolen, every bit of it.

Jack looks over at her and he has to admit that the leather outfit does suit her. He prefers his girls in dresses, or naked - usually. But Kira isn't "usually".

"Hm, I wish I had my own ship...", she said, caught up in dreams.
"I'm sure you'd make a great captain." Jack immediately frowns at himself. Why would he say something like that? He wasn't- ATTRACTED TO HER, was he? Disgusting!
"Excuse me! I AM a great captain! Ship or not", she protests, interrupting his thoughts.
"Technically-", he starts.
"Shut it. You don't have a ship either right now, do you?", she cuts in, teasingly.

He shrugs and both of them drink a gulp of rum.
She eyes at him. He locks eyes with her. Then, she leans in-

"I said stop daydreaming, boy!", the voice cut off Kira's thoughts so abruptly, she nearly stumbled and fell onto the wooden floor. Angrily she glared at the man who had just ruined her favourite part of the memory.

A small growl escaped her mouth and before she could even think about it, the sea shot up behind her like a wall and splashed down onto the ship, swooping the man off his feet and the hat off Kira's head, revealing her face and hair.

She sighed. "Not again!", she scolded herself, "Why does that keep happening? What's wrong with me?"

"SHE'S A WITCH!", the men on the ship started screaming hysterically.

"I'm no- Oh, wait, yes. I AM! AND YOU ARE ALL BENEATH ME! DO AS I SAY OR YOU SHALL DIE!", Kira yells at the sailors.

They look at her, frightened.
"WHATCHA STARING AT? GO TO WORK, LAZY PACK!", she shouts at them.

"C-c-course, m'la-la-la-lady?", the captain stuttered at her.
"Tortuga!", she grinned, pushing him away and grabbing the rudder confidently.

"Da, da, dam, dam, de, da, da, dam, da, da, dam, dam, da, da, da-daa," Kira hummed happily as the salty wind blew her long, messy hair out off her beautiful face.

"Take me to the end of the world," Jack whispers to the Pearl.

"Take me to him," Kira whispered, yet she knew of course, she wasn't allowed to give in, wasn't allowed to see, or love him. He was the crime she was longing to commit, she was not at permission to reach him.
"Since when do I ask for permission?", she thought, yet she knew very well that this was different. He was more than any jewel and gold she could ever steel.

"Jack," Gibbs walked up to him, "Jack, shouldn't we be running away?"

"Why?", he asked, rising a brow.

"'cause Nymphadora wants her kids back and wants to punish everyone who ever laid a finger on any of her children and we are definitely on the list as ya touched BOTH of 'em!"

"I never laid a finger on Ki-", the word seemed to get stuck in his throat.
"...on her second child," he finished.

"Then, where're we goin'?", Gibbs wondered. Jack looked at him.
"Tortuga?", Gibbs said slowly.
"Aye!", Jack agreed, "The rum is nearly gone!"

And he took a sip of the alcoholic drink and he tasted her...
His thoughts on her... His heart with her.

"Don't fall in love with the sea, mate, says the pirate. Ya must know it for sure, says the smuggler...", he mumbled quietly.

"Does he always mumble?", Benjamin asked Gibbs, looking up from scrubbing the wooden floor.

He was about 14 years old. Jack's crew had found him on a ship they'd stolen because of a favour Jack owed to some guy.
Ben was a good sailor, a better Pirate and quick at learning. Gibbs liked the boy.

"Aye," Gibbs answered the boy's question, adding, "The captain does a lot of things nobody understands."
"Nobody? At all?", Ben wanted to know, ruffling his short, brown hair like he always did.

"The legends say that there's one woman who can. She's as beautiful and as wild as the sea. With skin as white and pure as the foam on the waves, hair as black as the Pearl and-"

"And eyes as deep as the ocean!", Ragetti interrupted him, but he quickly mumbled a "Sorry." as Gibbs gave him a mad glance.
Then, Mr. Gibbs continued, "All men fear and love her, as she is in control of the wind and water itself. The legends say she fell in love with the crazy captain of a ship as black as the devil's soul."

"Our captain?", Ben's eyes widened.
"Aye, Captain Jack Sparrow."
"What happened?"

"Oh, they were made for each other, I saw it with my own eyes! Always knew where to go next, what to see and discover... And always a bottle of rum in their hands!"

"So that's why Jack loves rum so much? It reminds him of her?", Ben mumbled.

"No. He just likes it," Gibbs said certainly, "Now, go back to wor-"
"But what happened to them?", Ben cut him off.

Gibbs looked at the slim boy. And he sighed, knowing that he liked that little man way too much. "Well," he told him, "They got separated. But you know... Maybe you'll meet her soon. She is Nymphadora's daughter and Nymphadora is the sea itself! And I'm afraid Jack got into trouble with her..."

"How?"
"Scrub! I have no time for telling stories now." And Gibbs walked away, leaving the boy with his thoughts.
The daughter of the sea itself. Could that be true? He looked up at his captain, standing in the wind.
There were so many tales about him...
