Finally Kira felt Tortuga's ground underneath her feet. Here, everyone knew her.

"But it's still not a pirate's ship!", she thought. And she saw it in her mind, crossing the sea, feeling the black wood in her hands...

"I need to let go," she said to herself. And it was true, she shouldn't try to get back to the Pearl, back to... him. If she did, fate would punish her! Her mother would punish her! And him.
So she went where she could find hidingplace - to the rum!

"Kira!", she heard from ahead. "Joe?", she asked, a little disgusted. Joe came out of the shadows - the stinky, ugly, old Joe.

"Joe, do you have rum? Or whiskey?", she said.
"No, bu-"
"Then, you are not useful to me, goodbye."

And she strode off. Here and there people greeted her while the most men looked at her, frightened. She smiled. She had missed that, the fear!

She stepped into the bar. Silence and all the eyes on her. Gracefully she walked up to the bartender, the leather boots on her feet clicking on the floor.

"Rum!", she ordered, "And music, c'mon, people. I won't summon a tornado!" And the chatting, drinking, dancing and fighting went on. "At least not now," she added under her breath.

Kira observed the hustle and bustle of the pup for a while, her bottle in her hand. Then she decided to join in. She stepped on the dacefloor, swooping around. No one dared dance with her, though she wouldn't have minded, currently.

Then, she heard it. Him. His voice was way too familiar. She stopped and looked around. And she spotted him, sitting in a chair, the head bowed down as low as his voice, but she heard him. His raspy voice with the slightly drunken pirate slang.

"I'm unsure, Gibbs," she heard him say.
"I'm sure she's already noticed, don't worry 'bout it! Why do you even worry 'bout her at all? You know how she is. Who she is. Ya should worry 'bout yer own life!," Gibbs said to Jack, "When we came here, ya were the same opinion. What changed that crazy, old head o' yours?"

Kira saw how Jack glimpsed at her. Those brown, glittering eyes. He'd recognized her. What now?

She grinned and then quickly snatched a sword from one of the men. She pointed it at him, gracefully.

"Captain Jack Sparrow," she said slowly, but loudly, walking towards him. The music stopped.

"Kira," he pretended to be surprised, "my dearest!"

She grinned, still pointing the sword at him. The other men in the bar were holding their breath.

Being threatened by Kira herself was probably one of the things they had nightmares about.

But Jack just coolly drew his saber and got up. "Let's see if the saltwater made you rust," Kira chuckled mischievously.

And the fight began. Their swords cut the air faster than anything the people in the bar had ever seen.
Old and young were woken up from their alcoholic coma to witness the fabulous fight.

They fought on the tables, jumping and running, dodging and attacking. Kira blocked his attacks easily, but it was hard for her to hit Jack as he was good at blocking himself. "I see your skills haven't improved," Jack comments. "How dare you?!", Kira snapped, fighting him back, jumping against a column and them landing directly behind him. Her blade stopped only inches away from Jack's neck. A gasp wandered through the crowd the second when she didn't go for a clear and neat kill.

"Gotcha!", she hissed. "Alright," he said, turning around, lowering his sword.
"But...," he said, "you forgot one important thing:"
He jumped up, his sword swirled through the air, hitting Kira's and it flew out of her hand. He landed, his blade floating in front of her throat.

"I'm captain Jack Sparrow," he winked.

"Oh, c'mon," Kira took two steps, laid her hand on his and lowered the weapon he was holding. She was standing right in front of him, their faces only a few centimetres apart. His body was strained and she could see it. She could feel his breath against her skin and smell the rum.

"I'm Kira, the Daughter of the Sea," she whispered, taking in his scent. His dirty, wild, free scent. Her favourite one.

He was startled, unable to move, entirely banned. He knew the feeling. And he liked it in a strange way. "Kira...," he murmured.

She felt how she'd been longing to hear him say her name. She leant in, just a bit, only to pull away again. She chuckled, knowing exactly how she was torturing him. Their eyes were locked and the moment felt nearly too intense to be real.

The people around them were still holding their breath, including Gibbs and... Ben, who was sitting in a corner at the end of the room.

"By the way," Kira said now not whispering anymore and pulling away from him, "Do you have the Pearl?"
Everybody in the room relaxed visibly.

"I do. Actually," Jack said now in his normal tone and lifting one finger in the air.

"Then, What are we waiting for?", Kira said, turning around and looking at him with her piercing greenish blue eyes.

"You don't have your stuff," Jack noted.

Kira looked down at herself. The usual pirate-ish clothes, but her sword and pistol were missing.

"Oh, we'll be able to do something about that," she replied and quickly grabbed his hat, putting it on.
"Come on," she commanded, leaving the pub, but grabbing a bottle of rum in the last second.

"By the way, hello, Gibbs. Good to see you!", she winked at him and then strode off entirely.

"That girl...," Gibbs mumbled, shaking his head and then followed Jack who had already run off after Kira.
Ben was close behind them.
