Chattering, sweating, filthy people everywhere. Dancing, discussing and drinking. - The Tortuga Tavern!
Two men were fighting over a bottle of rum and another one settled down on a chair nearby the counter. He nodded at the bartender. The scars on his face drew a weird pattern onto his expression.
"Jim!", the bartender greeted and pushed a bottle into the man's hand. "Haven't seen you around in a while now, where have you been?", the bartender asked.
"Oh, the usual. Whores and tales. Sailor's yarn."
"Did you hea-"The door slammed open and Charles, the bartender looked up to see who'd come in.
The figure was dressed in black robes and the floppy hat covered the stranger's face.
His boots clicked on the wooden floor as he went up to the counter, his head bowed down low. The mysterious figure sent shivers down Charles's spine. The guest in black came to a halt in front of Charles and Jim. Some other guests had noticed the stranger and were peering in their direction, but most were too drunk to even look up.
"A drink?", Charles offered.
"Rum," the stranger mumbled roughly."That'd be a Guinea, sir," Charles replied, handing the stranger a bottle.
The man nodded and shove a golden bracelet over the counter towards the bartender.Charles didn't complain. He'd had worse payment.
Charles and Jim watched closely as the stranger took the bottle, hoping to catch a glimpse of the man's face. But to their surprise he didn't drink anything. He just leaned over to them and whispered, "Captain Jack Sparrow."
The men frowned as they heard the name. "Jack Sparrow?", they asked in confusion.
The stranger nodded again and mumbled something like, "Tales."
"Tales about Jack?", Charles said.
"Nobody knows where that mad ol' dog's gone," Jim commented."Oh, I heard he's searching for a crew. He's in England I've heard," the bartender said, "But that's all I know."
The weird stranger nodded appreciatingly and then he mumbled, "Kira."
"Kira? You mean the Kira, daughter of the sea?", Jim said mysteriously.
The man nodded once again.
"Lad, nobody can ever find Kira. I know we all know the tales of her beauty and grace, but she's gone. And anyway, Kira's not like other women," the bartender told him.
"Aye?", the man wondered.
"Aye, I heard there once was a man she loved deeply, but their story ended after she became the spirit's slave," Jim added.
"Humbug! She became a spirit herself and she flew away to a better place," Charles said grimly. They heard the stranger chuckle underneath his hat and they couldn't help but notice how high pitched it sounded.
"I'll tell you what", said the stranger's scratchy voice, "Kira's not gone. Spread the message. She's back. And she's not just the daughter of the sea."
Then, the stranger shove his hat up just a little by pushing the tip of the rum bottle against the hat brim and they could see clear, light skin and black hair.
Jim and Charles gasped at the sight."Shush," the stranger put a finger to the lips and gave the two men a mischievous grin, "Just spread the news."
And taking a gulp of rum, the person left the bar, the black coat flying in the cool breeze of the night.

She stepped out onto the loud streets of Tortuga and immediately closed her eyes.
