"I'm sorry, I have to go somewhere," Ryan said as he made an excuse for why he can't work with me on the group assignment. "It has to be finished in three days Ryan." I reminded him, not wanting to sound like I was forcing him. But I didn't want to fail. I don't know if he cares about that tough.
"I know, I know. I promise I'll work with you after school. I have to go now. But I promise I'll let one of the boys bring you to the house." He said and walked away. "Wait!" I yelled but he was already gone.
I really don't want to go to that house. I am scared yes. They are able to kill me. Even knowing the fact that Jason lives there made my skin crawl.

"Hey girl, why are you looking like you saw a ghost?" Mia laughed.
"Ryan just asked me to his house after school.
I mean for the group assignment." Mia's eyes widened. "No." I looked at her confused.
"What no?"
"You are not going." She stated.
"I don't wanna fail," I told her.
Kyle and Naomi arrived and looked confused. "What are you guys talking about?" Kyle asked.
"Brynn is going to Jason's house after school." Before I could explain he yelled. Okay, here we go. "DO YOU WANNA DIE?" Of course, when does this boy not yell?
"No, why are y'all obsessed with Jason. I'm going there for RYAN. we have a damn group assignment. Calm your titties." I told them rolling my eyes. Don't get me wrong, I was glad for protective friends but they have to understand that this is strictly school related. And I trust Ryan.

Okay, I don't trust Ryan but still. I have to go.

The bell rang. Finally

"X=8x-10." Mr ticket explained. I don't understand any of this, besides it's not like I am going to use this ever in my life.

He made my head explode. All these numbers and now there are letters too? Whoever came up with these things must've had a boring life.
And I have the worst headache right now thanks to Mr. Hecket. I decided to lay my head on my table for a few minutes but soon fell asleep.

"Psst. Pssssst." I look up to see Khalil looking at me. "Shut up." I groaned still half asleep. "You are late for your next class cupcake." I shot up. What? I look around to see the empty class.
Did I sleep through the bell? My mouth had that morning taste so I guess I'm a fast sleeper.
I jumped up. "What the hell. Why didn't you wake me up earlier." I said as I ran to my next class.

The now empty school looks scary. I waited here for 30 minutes already. Ryan said he was going to send someone to get me.
After promising my friends I'll call them when something's wrong and texting them every 20 minutes they allowed me to go.

Soon my thoughts are interrupted by a car. I look up to see it's Jason's car.
Got to be kidding me right? He made it very clear last week that he didn't want to be even breathing the same air as me. And now we are going to be in the same car? I'm not prepared for this at all.

"Get in." He said while being still in his car. I did as he told me and he sped off.
The ride was silence and neither of us said a word.

The drive took 10 minutes. We now arrived at his house or more like a mansion which is like in the middle of nowhere. Basically in a forest. How scary, are they planning on killing me? It sure does look like it.
Jason kicked a button which made the gates open and we drove inside.

He got out of the car without saying anything to me leaving me in his car by myself. I sigh. Why is he so mean? It's not fair, he's hella hot but damn mean.

Here we go then. I got out of the car and knocked on the door. Khalil opened.
"Hey there, didn't Jason let you in?" He asked confused and I shook my head. "Forgive him. The prick has no manners."

"Khalil doesn't scare her," Ryan said who now walked towards us. "It's okay," I said. "See, she said it's okay." Khalil now spat jokingly at Ryan.
Ryan rolled his eyes. "Let's get that A." He said referring to the school work.
"Follow me." He said as we walked through this giant mansion. Once we arrived at the top of the stairs he took a left and there was a big hallway. Four rooms on each side and on the end of the hallway a giant wooden double door. Why are there so many rooms? They are only with five.
We walked into his room. It is huge.
King sized bed. Walk-in closet. There is another door which I guess leads to his own bathroom. It was a light shade of grey with matching curtains. And it had a big window. I looked through the window and saw the forest, it was creepy yet intriguing.

"Shall we begin?" We sat on the floor and spread our books around us.
"Wich historical figure do you want?" I asked Ryan. He looked at me like I was speaking Chinese. "Please tell me you know at least one historical person?" He shook his head. "Columbus? Everyone knows good old Christoffel." I said. Again he shook his head. "He discovered America." Again he doesn't know what I'm talking about.
"I do know Mary queen of Scots." He said I rolled my eyes. "Reign isn't 100% correct. It's not how things happened back then." I said referring to the tv show reign.
"We can pick her and do some more research." He said. I was glad that he at least tried. "Sure Ryan. We'll pick her."

"First question. Who is she and how did she become a historical figure?" He read from the paper. "Simple, she is Maria 1 of Scotland, she was the queen of Scotland," I said. "Though her name was Mary." I rolled my eyes playfully he's so dumb. "It's a tv show, Ryan."

After a couple of hours, we were done. Caine and Za came in like 10 times to interrupt us with their not funny jokes. They are actually really funny.
"So we only have to put this in a powerpoint?" He asked. "Yes, but I'll do it. I like doing it." I said. I was very good at making powerpoints. "I'll trust you on that. We're going straight for that A." We both laughed.

"Hey, Brynn you staying for dinner?" Caine asked. "I don't think Jason would like that," I said honestly, he would kill me. I mean the boys are super sweet to me. But Jason acts like I'm some dirt under his shoe.
"He's not here. He'll be back later." Khalil said. "If you guys don't mind."
I smiled.
We ate lasagna wich Za made. He is a pretty good cook. "This is delicious," I said with a mouth full of lasagna. They all laughed, probably at how ridiculous I looked, like a pig.

The boys made some stupid jokes all evening long and they were not even funny that they became funny, you know those kinda jokes. I laughed my ass off with them.
But my laughter stopped when I heard a door open. My heart stopped.

"He-what is she doing still here?" Jason said as he walked in eyeing me from top to toe with a glare on his face.
"Chill dude, I asked her to stay for dinner," Caine said. "Yup, and she thinks my lasagna is delicious," Za said like a child.
"She can't be here. Designed is here." They all went silent and their eyes widened. I wanted to ask who Designed is but I decided not to.

"I thought I heard ya boys." Someone unfamiliar said. I looked behind Jason to see who I think is Designed. He looks at me surprised. "What's your name sweety?" He asked as if I was a five-year-old. The man looks creepy, almost black eyes and his face looked red. I was too shy to answer. "None of your business," Jason said. Never thought I would say this but thank god for Jason.
"I know exactly who you are. Carter's told me everything about you."

Who the hell is Carter?

Then it clicked. It was the boy from dinner and the same boy who delivered the pizza. I knew something was wrong the moment he delivered the pizzas.
"You fucking hanging with Carter?" Khalil asked angrily. I was shocked. I have never seen him angry. At least not at me. Then again I only shared a few classes with him.

"N-no he a-asked my number b-but I refused." I stutter not knowing what to do or what was going on.
"I'll take you home. Now." Jason said without any emotion. I nodded and followed.
Once we sat in his car we drove off.

"Listen to me, never and I mean this, never get involved with Carter. He's dangerous."
