Lucas's P.O.V.

I wake up to my phone going off. "Ugh" I dig for my phone not wanting to open my eyes. I find it and open it that reads

1 new message

I wonder who it could be at this time of day. (5:00 a.m.) I click into the message and it reads,

Have a good day at school! ~Alex & Jase Jackson

"Thanks, you too." I respond back. Ever since they got phones they've been texting me every morning. I don't mind, but sometimes I just wish I could sleep a little bit more.

I get up and do my morning routine. I made myself some eggs today to eat for breakfast. I took the last bite then started to head out the door.

My neighbor was going to get his mail and noticed me. "Hey Lucas how ya been?" His name was Roger Banks, a German shepherd that goes to college. He was 4 years older than me.

"Hey Roger, I've been fine. How 'bout yourself? Anything new lately?" Roger was one of the few furs I could talk to comfortably.

"Same old, same old around this house hold. My brother stopped by yesterday while you were at school and wanted to know how you been doing since..." He trails off as he knows not to bring up my parents.

I reassure him that it was fine if he brought it up if a family of his was asking. He still looked a bit nervous about asking. "Tell him i'm fine and hanging in there, alright. I got to get to school."

"Okay Lucas, you know i'm here for you if you need it. Have a good day!" Roger retreats into his house. I start the car and head to school.

Blake's P.O.V.

I grumble as I hear my alarm go off. "Another boring day of school" then I thought of Lucas and if I'll see him at all today. I get up and get my things to take a quick shower.

As I'm getting out my mom yells from the kitchen downstairs, "Honey breakfast is ready!" "Coming mom!!" I run down the stairs almost tripping in doing so. "Be careful you don't want to break anything before school ends." There is 1 solid month of school left, all most out of hell, hehe.

I eat, get my things and leave for school. "Bye mom, see you when I get home!" I yell as I'm heading out the door. "Be careful while driving sweetie! Love you." The door closes and I'm off to school.
