Okay okay okay. I'm sorry. Be warned, this is just a taster for the next chapter, but I know that I am a bad woman and therefore I am sending you all a gift: a taste of what is to come! Danny's P.O.V. (now present tense coz I'm in the mood)

I think I've had too much to drink.

The colours around me are blurring together, faces become specks of white, with red gashes across the bottom. Teeth gnash and hands stretch towards me. I can't move, my body frozen in this nightmarish world. Suddenly my perspective changes, and I see Adam. His skin has turned to marble, a whitish colour with black shatters adorning his neck and bare chest. His lower body and legs are covered by black skin-tight jeans, but they are resting on his hips, so I can see his V line disappearing into the folds. As I stand watching, I see thick metal chains cross his chest, forcing him away from me. His silvery hair is blowing across his face, obscuring his features, stopping me from seeing his eyes. The chains cross and then meet, bringing his hands together. His head moves, and suddenly he is staring at me, screaming my name, trying to reach for me, but the monstrous creatures next to me grab me. They tug at my arms and body, forcing me back. He is still screaming, a sound that makes me tremble, and I cover my ears, tucking myself into a ball, forcing my eyes away from Adam. I collapse, my hands lying in front of me. A soft hand touches mine, fingers intertwining, another hand lifting my head up. My eyes meet Adam's and he cradles my aching body, soothing my muscles with his hands. My eyes start fluttering closed as he yells out in pain. I look up at him. Only then do I notice the wings. Huge, white, soft. But the creatures are pulling them off him. He has gone limp, feathers falling around him. I scream his name as he falls to the ground, unmoving, not breathing.

"Danny! Danny!" My eyes open to see Vivienne standing over me, shaking my shoulders. I see Sam standing nearby, and Adam leaning against the door frame, his expression confused and scared.

"What... What happened?"

"You took six shots and hit the floor, man. I thought you could hold your liqueur!" Sam sniggers and then rolls his eyes.

"Why exactly were you drunk? Are you guys playing some stupid drinking game or something?" Adam's voice comes across stern and annoyed.

"Nah, man. We were playing truth or dare."
