You Can't Change Me

REI'S POV

I was visiting Takeo in prison again and I was telling him about the stuff that was going on at home. Takeo chuckled when I told him about Reiji nagging at me about my grades not being great, my behaviour being 'deplorable' and how I dress as well, which was annoying.

"Hahaha! Sounds like this Reiji fella is quite a character."

"I don't see how you find this funny! All he's been doing nagging at me, do this! Do that! Ugh! He's so annoying. "

"Maybe that's his way of looking out for you."

"Tch, I don't need to be looking out for, I can take care of myself. "

"Yeah, says the girl who couldn't shot a gun properly after she turned 13."

"Shh! Not so loud!"

I whispered after covering Takeo's mouth. The guard looked at us and I said to him.

"Uh, my brother was telling me a silly story about me, pay no attention."

"That's fine but, less contact please."

"Hai, gomen."

I said after uncovering Takeo's mouth. The guard turned his back and I warned Takeo.

"Honestly, and you warned me to be careful with my big mouth."

"Sorry, I guess my days of being a murderous gangster are finally rubbing off."

"Is that a good thing?"

"In a way, yes, at least that way I can go for a fresh start once I get out of here."

I smiled at Takeo when he said this and then the bel started ringing meaning visiting hours were over.

"Time's up, you better get back to school before you're missed."

"Now you're starting to sound like my old man."

"Oy, less of the old."

Takeo and I hugged each other before he headed back to his cell. I got inside the limo and then the driver said to me.

"Rei-sama I hate going behind he master's back like this, shouldn't you at least tell them, where you've been going during your lunch breaks and free periods?"

"And say what? How I'm visiting a friend who used to be a part of a murderous gang like me? I don't think so, it's best they don't know especially Reiji, now drive, my next class will be starting soon."

"Yes, Rei-sama."

The driver said before starting the engine and leaving the police station. Once I got back, I headed to Mathes class and when my luck couldn't get any worse, Reiji was in the hallway and he caught me sneaking to class.

"And just where have you been?"

"None of your business, four eyes."

"Will you stop calling me that?"

"Nope."

I said with a smirk on my face before walking away from him or at least an attempt at it. Reiji grabbed my wrist and he said to me.

"Tell me where have you been or you'll receive a whipping later."

"Empty threats don't scare me Reiji, you're gonna have to do better than that."

I grabbed Reiji's wrist and I twisted it making cracking sound from it. Reiji gritted his teeth in pain and I smirked sadistically.

"I already warned you before, you can't tame this monster because I'm unstoppable and my spirit can't be broken that easily."

I released Reiji's wrist and I continued to smirk at him.

"Pathetic, you're no match for me and you can't change what I've become either."

I said before walking away from him with my hands in my pockets. I thought to myself as I made my way to class.

'After I joined the Shadow dragons, the blood on my hands from the people that I've killed even now, it'll never wash away...after all, I'm the Reaper of the demon world.'

REIJI'S POV

I rubbed my arm where Rei grabbed me and I frowned a little before that deadbeat appeared.

"She does have a point you know."

I glared at that deadbeat and he continued.

"You can't get rid of that sadistic side of hers, it's who she is not to mention she's killed in the past and that won't change either."

"Who asked you, deadbeat?"

I said before leaving him alone.

REI'S POV

After school was over for the night, I was planning to take a walk until I spotted Richter. I couldn't let him see me, so I used my camouflage spray to hide my scent from him as I followed him.

I followed Ritcher in the hallway for a while until he stopped at the room that Reiji told me to never go in. Ritcher went into the room and I followed after him. I hid behind some crates and them a secret door opened.

'A secret door? What's he hiding?'

I thought to myself as Ritcher entered the room. I decided to wait since I couldn't risk following him any further. After a while, Ritcher came out of the room and I managed to keep myself and my scent hidden. Once he was gone, I decided to find out what he was hiding in that secret room.

I opened the door and I entered the room that was hidden from me and the others. When I got into the room, I saw a dress covered in blood and it had a large tear in the centre like someone had cut it open.

'Why would this dress be here? Hold on a second, I've seen this dress before...'

I took out the small photo that I Christa gave me when I first arrived in the demon world three years ago and I saw a picture of Cordelia.

'I knew it, but, why does Ritcher keep a hold of this dress? Something fishy is going on here and I'm gonna find out.'

I thought to myself as I left the room before anyone saw me. However, after I left the room, Reiji had caught me and he said to me.

"What are you doing in that room? Didn't I warn you not to go in there?"

"Curiosity got the better of me, besides, what's there to hide from me and Yui?"

"That's nothing for you to find out, come on, you're gonna receive your punishment."

"I don't think so!"

I shouted before I sideswiped Reiji and he lands on the floor. I got on top of him and inheld my knife near his neck and I grinned sadistically at him.

"Hehe...I told you before, your empty threats and your punishments don't frighten me and also, you can't change me or my personality, it's who I am and you can't do anything about it, you're pathetic and weak."

Reiji's eyes widen when I told him this and then the triplets showed up to see what was going on and they were shocked to see me on top of Reiji with a knife very close to his neck. Ayato looked at Reijimand he said to him.

"See Reiji! I told you this chick was crazy! She's gonna kill you!"

"Calm yourselves, I'm not gonna do anything, I'm only just letting Reiji know not to mess with someone like me."

I said before getting off of Reiji and I walked past the triplets so I can head back to my room.

REIJI'S POV

I stood up from the ground and I thought to myself.

'Ayato was right, there's something not right with rei and she's been acting oddly since she came here, what exactly is she hiding from us?'
