Let's talk about describing stuff.

Yes, it's good to describe things, but let's not overly describe everything.

Let's use a commonly over-descriptive example:

Kissing.

Seriously, what is it with authors and describing their kisses in the most disturbing way possible?

My tongue danced upon his lips as our lips intertwined.

I could taste the scent of his minty fresh breath. IT WAS DELICIOUS!!!

There are lots of things that don't need to be described that much, because I almost barfed just typing these examples!
