Ch. 28 A Baby on the Way

I couldn't believe it, I was gonna be a father. It was probably one of the most exciting things that I've ever heard in my life but it was also one of the scariest, the only thing that I ever saw from my dad was how to be a totally absent douchebag, I wanted to give Yui and my kid way more than what he could have ever given me. But we've just barely gotten out of high school, we're gonna need something more if I'm wanting to support a family. "Yui, I'm gonna do everything I can to support you and our baby I'm gonna get serious about everything and I want to be able to give you what I couldn't have and everything that you need to start a life." "Oh Ayato.... I love you." As she held me close I kissed her and held her in my arms for what seemed like an eternity.
The next few days went by like crazy, I first told all the guys that they were gonna be uncles soon and to try and get as much of the prep work as possible out of the way. Reiji managed to help along the way with a few instruction manuals and Kanato was able to pick out all the right toys that a boy or girl might need. "Ayato, I'm glad that you're finally able to take things serious again it's been a long while since I've seen my little brother like this." That was honestly the strangest compliment that I've ever heard from Reiji, but I was glad for the support. "Thanks bro hopefully everything goes well and we can all be a family again... or at least try to from what we've got left." "So I assume that there's going to be a ring with this I suppose?" I immediately froze when he said that, I had honestly wanted to marry Yui but the timing was never right for us to actually try for it. Now with a baby on the way and a new life ahead for the both of us I knew that I had to do something. "I havent thought about it yet but I'll probably keep itself open to it".
