Chapter ten

ASHTON'S POV

It had been four days since my lunch date with Becca, well whatever it was, date or hangout or mutual lunch, but I hoped she thought of it as a date. I needed time with the guys to help me on this whole situation with Becca. I wanted to be more than friends but Im not one to run into things, especially with both of our circumstances. I just cant help but want to be more, I mean Becca's everything I've wanted, After talking at our lunch whatever I got to know her, she's funny, she's smart, and she's so kind. Mason loves her and she loves him, she's great with him. I can only hope that she feels at least soething for me.

When I got to Lukes house Mikey and Calum were already there.

"So how was your first date in two years?" Luke asked raising an eyebrow at me and then turning his focus back on his video game.

"I dont know if I would call it that" I tried to laugh off.

"Why not I mean you guys both went out had food and a good time right?" Mikey interrogated.

"Yeah but the kids were there, I mean I wish she thought it was a date but I just dont know how she feels about me" I sighed. I really wanted Becca to fekk the same way about me.

"Wait what was her name again?" Calum asked looking up from his phone.

"Uh Becca why?"

"Oh my God this is too good Jo's best friend is Becca and the both of them are with their other two friends talking about this right now" Calum laughed going back for his phone, to what I assume was to text Jo.

"Wait what are you doing? Dont embarrass me" I pleaded.

"Im not. Im going to make your life so much easier." Calum smirked into his phone. After a few minutes of me pacing , Luke and Mikey mindlessly playing fifa and Calum texting Jo he finally spoke again.

"Call her right now and ask her out on a real date without kids now" Calum stated grabbing for my phone and dialing her number.

"What? No I dont even know if she likes me, let alone wants to go on a date with me!" I whisper shouted hoping to get an answer from Calum before she picks up.

"Shut up, Jo said she liked you now ask her out" Calum whispered harshly and before I could respond Becc picked up.

"Hello?" her sweet voice rang through the phone.

"Uhm hi Becca its Ashton, well you knew that uh anyways I was wondering if you uh would like to go out to eat sometime, somewhere nice maybe this friday if thats okay with you?" I said scratching the back of my neck.

It took her maybe two seconds to respond but it felt like years. "I thought you'd never ask" she said. My mouth fell open, and then the corners of my mouth turned up into a smile. I ran my hand through my hair, shocked that she said yes to me.

"Uh wow okay great so Friday. I'll pick you up at 7 yeah?"

"Great I cant wait" She beamed, we said goodbyes and Calum announced to Luke and Mikey that I had a date. They cheered and then returned to their game.

"Now we have to plan what you're gonna do on this date" Calum said slapping a hand to my back. I could already feel my head starting to spin.
