Chapter 6: A clearing

Gwen POV:
Soon I got to the tents and I slowly creep towards y/n tent.
"Hey Gwen" Preston said walking over.
"Shh" I tell him holding a finger to my mouth.
"What is it?" Preston whispers looking over at me.
I pointed at the tent and he eyes light up knowing what we are doing, we snuck there together. Nikki and Neil then come up out of no where.
"What are you doing?" Nikki asked.
"Shut up!" I whisper yell.
Preston explained to them what we were doing and I wasn't really listening. I began to pull my phone out I looked into the tent flap. Thank the lord it's getting dark because it would be harder for them to see us. All of a sudden I heard rustling in the tent and Max walked out.
"Everybody act natural!" I whisper yell.
Everybody walked away from each other and acted like they were going into there tents, I was pretending to talk with Nikki. Max walks out of the tent and goes into his. Damn it! I was to late!
"Oh well everybody go to the mess hall!" I yell going up to the mess hall. Walking in I already see David sitting.
"Hey David" I muttered sitting next to him.
"Did you see them?" He ask merrily.
"No Max left when I was about to see, but I'm sure we'll see better things with Max and y/n in the future." I answer not touching my food.

Y/N POV:
"Come on it was good, admit it" I say standing up.
"Eh ok, it was kind of good." He admits.
"See I knew it!" I smiled.
"I'm going to go" he said standing up.
"Ok see you at dinner?" I ask putting my guitar away.
"I don't know, I'm not that hungry" he said walking away.
"Well you can at least come and talk with us." I offered walking up to him.
"Nah I'm good bitch." He answered walking away.
"Ok" I say sitting back down.
Nikki walks into the tent and sits by me.
"What were you and Max doing?" She cooed.
"Oh me and him were talking." I say while blushing.
"Oh about what?" She asked.
"Umm" I said uncomfortably, I didn't want to tell her I played guitar to him or about anything we said. She's one to get info out there. Thankfully I covered my guitar when I went and put it up. I can feel my face burning.
"Why you blushing?" She asks raising her eyebrow.
"Oh what I-I'm not b-blushing!!" I stammered.
Her face lit up. "You like Max!" She whispered yelled.
"N-no!!!" I stammered again looking down.
"Don't worry I won't tell anyone, I promise, that's what friends are for!" She beamed. Oh thank the lord.
I started getting up and she followed me, we walk to mess hall. We got our food and sat down, i see David and Gwen laughing and talking about something. Oh well that's not my problem, Neil sat down across from us.
"Hi guys" he said sitting down.
"Hello" Nikki and I say in unison.
"Hey Neil I got a question to ask you." I asked.
"Ok what is it?" He said shoving his food aside.
"Well when Harrison did that trick on me, I by the way know how the trick works, but there was no roof a-and it freaked me out...personally and I was wondering if you knew anything about it." I explained shaking a little.
"We'll see that's the problem, I was coming here and asking you if you knew anything, because science always has the answer." He explained.
"Maybe it was just real magic guys" Nikki suggests.
"Well maybe I did hear him talk gibberish and it was really weird, so it's a possibility." I thought of aloud looking at Neil.
"No! I do not believe that!" He yells slamming his fist down.
"Alright non-believer" Nikki teases.
"Oh shut up Nikki!" He yells again going back to his thoughts.
I finish eating and go put my tray up and walk to my tent. I go and lay in my cot to think about what Harrison did and all that. I plan on waiting till David goes to his cabin and so does Gwen to go explore.
-Hours later-
I check the time, it's 10, I get up and put on some boots and I bring my phone with me.
I slowly walk out carefully not stepping on any twigs or branches. Soon I'm in the woods walking. I take a break and sit down, I hear rustling.
Its probably nothing I think looking at my phone.
I get up and keep walking deeper into the woods I soon come into a clearing. Wow...It was breathtaking. On was on a small hill but leading down was a lake, not to big or small, there was a broken dock at the lake and there were flowers everywhere. Looking up I had a perfect view of the sky, stars scattered the night sky.
"You don't see this in the city" I remark slowly stepping down the hill using my crutches to help me.
The trees stayed clear of the lake and around, making it a big circle. I look at the time, 11, I lay down and look at the stars...

Max POV:
I'm walking in the woods towards my favorite spot. I come to a small clearing, I take a deep breath. I look down the hill and see someone laying down? I step down carefully, watching my step. In the distance it's... y/n?
Looking at her I see her the pale moonlight shine on her. Her (hair color) hair shines in the light, and her (skin color, preferred on the paler side) skin glows. I smile to myself, carefully walking towards the dock to not startle her. She sits up and looks around she sees me, shit.
"Max?" She asks questionably.
"No it's a ghost" I remark walking towards her.
"I thought you were sleeping?" She asks looking up at me.
"I thought your not suppose to leave your tent" I answer sitting down beside her.
"Oh well, fuck that" she says looking at me. "It sure is pretty."
"Yah I guess so." I say thinking of how pretty she is.

Y/N POV:
I look over at Max, his hair moves a little in the wind.
"What the fuck you looking at?" He asks rudely.
"Oh just how stupid your hair looks" I answer ruffling his hair.
"Hey! Don't mess with it!" He yells sitting up and positioning it back to the way it was.
I look out towards the lake and get up.
"Where you going?" He asks.
"I'm going back to my tent, you coming?" I answer giving him a hand.
"Sure so you don't get yourself killed." He says ignoring my hand.
-Back at camp-
"Well I'm off to bed goodnight!" I explained heading off to bed.
-Two weeks later Max and your love continue to grow stronger but you guys still haven't proclaimed it yet. Nikki decides to not tell you about Max's feelings cause she wants to see what happens, the cast comes off and your not in crutches ( I didn't want you crutches no more) and somebody new comes into the picture...-
