Chapter 16: Pills

Y/N POV:
After cleaning up the mess I pocket my razor and what's left of my bandages. I sigh, I should really stop. I climb down the steps and attempt to close the attic but fail. Whatever, I walk out of the cupboard and through the kitchen to the dining area. Everybody is gone, it's done raining outside, it's just muddy. I sit down at one of the tables and sigh.
I should go to the woods to clear my mind. But first... I sulk off from the table to David's cabin. I soon get there and the door swings open, I stop suddenly and hide behind the open door. Max and David walk out, David with a huge grin on his face and Max with a small smile. The door is about to close, so I slip in silently.
I look around the cabin, I spot the bathroom in the back and walk to the room. I see the medicine cabinet sitting atop the sink. I reach to open it, damn I'm to short. I get up on the counter and open the cabinet. There's not many things inside except some pill bottles and bandages. I reach for the bandages and put twi rolls in my pocket. I take a look at his anti-depressant pills. I sigh and reach for them. I got to get people thinking I'm back to normal. I take two of the pills from his bottle and swallow them. I place the bottle back exactly how it was and close the cabinet. I jump down from the counter and start heading out of the cabin. Soon I feel more confident and happy. It's so fake, I think with a fake smile.

Max POV:
I smile to myself as I walk into my tent. Sure I'm depressed my parents disowned me, but at least I have people who care about me for once. Like I have Y/n and David. I sit down in my cot relaxing a bit. I look up at the tents roof, nobody can know about this. I frown, I won't hear the end of it from everyone. They should know on the last day. I nod at the idea when I hear y/n walking into her tent. Noisy bitch. I nod my head smiling. I get up and walk over to her tent. I walk in on her looking at her phone smiling, with a different outfit on.
"Hey" I say walking in.
"Hey" She answers shortly.
"Why'd you change?" I ask.
"Umm, cause I slipped in the mud and it got me all dirty." She answers quickly.
Hmm alright I don't totally buy it, but whatever. "Are you going to come eat it's almost dinner" I offer.
"Nah, I'm not hungry" she answers.
"I don't believe" I answer sternly.
"What?" She answers shooting up.
"Yah I don't believe you, I know what's going on" I say.
"Uhh what then" she answers she looks like she's sweating.
"Are you depressed?" I ask her, sitting down by her. "Look I care about you and I want you to be happy"
"Look Max, I'm fine" she says with a big smile. Ok whatever. "I'm making you eat though come on"
"Ugh Fine" she sighs getting up, as I tug her to the Mess Hall.
