Chapter 42: A Fire Mess

Y/N POV:
Crash
"Ahh!" I yell as we run off road. We crash into some trees and I hit my head hard on the dashboard. I fall back and I can feel myself blacking out- must get out, smell gasoline. Blood runs down my face as I kick the door open and flop onto the ground. I crawl away from the car and the last thing I see is the car explode.

Max POV:
We got the red car in front of us and they are run off the road. It crashes into the trees and seconds later it explodes. I watch in horror as I know my girlfriend was in there.
"Y/n" I whisper.
I open the car door and run to the roaring flames.
"Max!" David yells.
I cough on the black smoke that engulfs the clean air.
"Y/n!" I yell.
"Y/-" I see her.
Her body lays limp on the ground.
"Y/N!" I shout. I run over to her.
She has a few burn marks, nothing to serious and sooth is on her face she has thick red blood running down her face. I pick her up and I begin to walk out of the smoke. I hear a moaning and I look around to the drivers side.
Lily.
She lays with several burn marks. One of the burns on her skin were bubbling a little. I walk over to her. I sling y/n across my shoulder and I grab Lily arm and I drag them both out of the flames. The car behind me explodes again. I fall into the ground. The dark smoke engulfs the air and I can hardly breath. I feel someone grab my arm and I turn around to see y/n. She hands me the bandana around her neck I take it and wrap it tightly around her mouth and nose she goes to give it to me again but she passes out. I grab both of them again and make my way through the scorching flames, hot licks of the fire, and the dark, humid smoke that's takes away all breathable air.
I cough, a lot and I soon see the blue sky once more ahead away from this blanket of heat and death. I run dragging the two and I make my way out. I feel my head get woozy and I fall.

David's POV:
"Max!" I yell crying.
"Y/n!"
I start running towards the smoking car and the licking flames. The forest catches on fire and the black smoke fills the air.
"David! No!" Daniel yells grabbing my shoulder and pulling me back.
Then in the distance I see a figure dragging something. But then the car explodes again and they disappear behind the black smoke. I squint my eyes thing to find them again. The smoke has entered my lungs and I'm coughing wildly.
"I-cough- called 9-cough-11" Gwen chokes pulling me away from the smoke. Then I see the figure again at the opening of the blanket of smoke. It's Max. He is carrying lily and y/n. He falls to the ground as the flames lick towards him and car smokes even more and the smell of gasoline grows stronger. I bolt to him.
"David!" Someone yells but I can't hear them.
I run and pick up Max, lily, and y/n. I carry them through the smoke and as if the car was ticking down it explodes again.
What the hell?! How many times is this Damn thing going to blow up!
I grit my teeth and I get to Daniel and Gwen. The police and firemen/woman are here. The forest fire ceases when a plane comes by and dumps dust all over it. I sneeze from the dust and I see Max and y/n stirring. I drop my sister carelessly and I cradle the other two I my arms.
"David" Max says.
"Yah?"
"Drop me now" he says.
I carefully set him down. I look over to see y/n have her bandana over her mouth and nose.
"I tied it around her mouth and nose" Max coughs.
I grab his hand, pick up y/n and drag my sister. We are brought to the back of an ambulance. I see them treating y/n, Max, and Lily.
"Are you ok sir?" They ask.
"Yes I'm fine..." I answer.
-hours later-
We are back at camp and everyone is ok. I know that Lily only wanted y/n for money and fame. She doesn't give a damn about her.
I look down to see y/n looking towards the sunset, the wind gently waves her hair. She walks off towards the lake. I follow her and I stop. She sits on the wooden dock.

Y/N POV:
The tears fall down my face rapidly. I wipe my eyes and I hear the wood under me creak. I look over to see David. He sits down next to me. He puts his arm around me and pulls me in.
"Don't worry, your worth everything to me... daughter" He whispers.
I hug him and he hugs me back.
"Alright, I think it's about time to go to bed" he says helping me up.
I wipe my eyes and sigh.
"I can't believe that both of my dads are my uncles... did you know who I was?" I ask.
He looks down at me sincerely, he places his hand on my shoulder.
"No, I'm sorry, but if I knew that the baby girl my sister gave up was you. I would of instantly adopted you the second I laid my eyes on you" he said grabbing my hand.
"You know I'm not 10" I laugh as we walk.
"I know, can I act like it for awhile" David laughs.
He walks me to my tent and I step in. I see that Max is in my room sitting on the cot.
"Do you ever sleep in your own tent anymore?" I ask him and I sit next to him.
"Goodnight Max and y/n, don't do anything bad!" He exclaims.
I blush and Max puts an arm around me.
"Cmon, lets go to sleep... it's been a long day" He says hugging me.
I lay down next to him and my eyes grow heavy. I curl up close to him and I fall asleep.
