Arrows started flying towards them, one after another. Jimin was safe behind the tree, but not for too long. That thing will probably move after a while, because it did sense him. His human smell was too obvious, it stood out.Haven started vanishing and appearing multiple places to not get hit by the arrows and Jimin watched carefully.
"What is that thing," Jimin thought, peeking from behind the tree to look at it, but he can only see it vaguely. "Looks like he got it though."
Haven probably fought all his life, having that experience was amazing. Jimin watched how he predicted every move that thing was doing. But not for too long, because it started moving closer to them.
"Jimin run to the tree behind you," the knight groaned, maybe he wasn't in control of the fight after all.
The blonde boy obeyed, he wasn't going to be foolish and not comply. He didn't have any combat skills, he wouldn't want to risk Haven's or his life. Running back to the tree behind him, he could hear the groans of the knight which made his lips curl into concern.
"Do you want me to do anything?" He shouted, hoping he can help in any way.
Before the knight replied, he screamed in pain. An arrow shot to his stomach and was stuck there. "Stay," he barely managed to finish his sentence, "away, do not come close." It was a demand.
Jimin felt scared for the Fae's life. He felt like a burden too. He saw Haven run towards him, "take it out, quickly." He exhaled, faintly.
The boy shook his head, "it's too deep, the only thing that is holding on to all your blood not gushing out is this, I can break it though to make it shorter." He suggested, haven looked at the thing and it was still getting closer.
"Hurry," he said.
Jimin broke it shorter, "I thought you can handle fights since you're a knight." He said as he gazed at him in the eye.
Haven just sighed, either in pain, or in shamefulness. "He is a creature that we don't encounter much, he can kill you easily. Now run, run south, back to the castle. Keep going straight, don't think about staying and helping, you'll just be a load on my shoulders." He stated.
That didn't offend Jimin though. He knew that already, although he wanted to suggest to think of a solution rather than fighting since his brain was his power after all. "What if I-"
The knight gasped, shoving Jimin away, Haven cussed as he quickly tried fighting it, "Run now."
And he did. He managed to get up and started running, though he wasn't paying much attention, he wasn't going south at all. He was going east and the genius realized that after running for a while. The trees all looked alike, though these ones were darker, and they never encountered dark trees on their way.
"I'm lost," Jimin said to himself. He panted as he looked around, observing the area, where he was. "If the end of the world didn't kill me, then this will. I'm so dead." He started walking slowly. He had to drag his trembling feet.
Hearing a noise behind him, making him turn around and freeze. "I come in peace," he whispered in a whine. His throat bobbed, palms are sweaty. "The possibilities of Haven finding me is," he paused to do the math in his head, "Twenty two percent out of a hundred."
He started walking again, trying to ignore whatever noise he was hearing, whispering to himself that it's just insects.
"Atleast the sun is still out," he tried making himself feel better.
