•Chapter 40•

The library was lull. The frail plead that came out of the prince's mouth made the knight stand in his place. As if there was a black out in the room, they stood there. Sincerity in his speech, from his old friend. The knight bowed down to him suddenly, "I'm sorry," he paused, "please eat your meal."

Jimin's shoulders slumped, he watched Haven straighten and leave the room, apologetically. Gazing at the food, "for Jungkook."

Picking up his spoon and opening the boxed food. Once was his favorite food, now it was tasteless. Gulping down the food like a forced child eating his vegetables. His stare was directed to the book. Wondering what it is, it can't be what he thinks it is. There was no way it was that easy. "Theoretically speaking, he wouldn't hand me the book of magic that easily." He wondered.

Eating another bite of his food, "the plan was to get the book of magic and leave this hell." He sighed, thinking why it was so important. "To see Jungkook again, I need to start being strong, he misses me as much as I miss him," finishing his food, he started to read the book again.

Nolland never checked up again on Jimin, another one of his promises broken. Jimin knew better not to trust him, he is a manipulative fae. He suddenly saw all the knights in the library run somewhere, leaving Jimin alone, without being on watch. He took this opportunity to follow them where they were going, quietly. The Fae's in the castle didn't bother to pay attention to him, they were too busy. "Something is going on," he thought.

     He hid as he saw Hyo, but he didn't need to hide for long, because the knight ran somewhere else. He felt like he was in a middle of chaos. Everyone running around, cleaning, and preparing fancy plates. He overhead two maids talk about a high lord visiting. "My guess is Hoseok, since he has alliance with him. It can't be Jungkook."

    A free chance for him to go roam around and possibly find the book of magic. The first place he wanted to go check was the high lord's room. Although, he doesn't know whether his wife would be there or not. He didn't need to avoid the knights while walking there, but he needed to pay attention to the knights near his room. They weren't guarding it, too busy, they were. Talking to other knights and making a plan on how to defend their high lord. "I can't mess this up, if I get caught I'm done for."

     The knights have walked away, Jimin sprinted to the door and opened it, without looking inside first, he just walked in. Panting and leaning against the door, he got lucky, no one was in the room. "God, I'm suited to read books, not for precarious missions."

         Opening every drawer he can find in the room and looking through it, but no luck. His eyes widened, hearing that Nolland is just twenty steps away from the door.

    "Where's my magic when I need it." He whined to himself, there was nowhere he can hide. Hearing that he is only ten steps away now, he looked in his closet but it was too risky, he is sure he will go in there. Five steps away. He breathed in fear, Nolland was a psychopath, he would do bad things to him. Three steps away, he had no choice but to go hide in the closet.

     The door opened. Nolland took off his jacket and groaned, "if you want you can sit down in the same room when he arrives." He said to his wife.

      She stretched her hands, "if you allow it."

      The high lord gave her a smile, "I do," he walked to the closet, "I need to change." Opening it and his eyes widened. "I knew you were up to something!"

         His wife walked to him, "This was a surprise for later! I forgot I put it here." She walked and held the box that was on the floor, "it must have fallen somehow." It was something in a box that she got for the high lord as a surprise.

      Jimin wasn't there. Before another two steps, Haven has appeared in the closet and took him away. Appearing in his room, "are you insane!? If he finds out he will put you in jail! He will do anything to make you stay!" He scolded him but quietly.

      Jimin couldn't breathe for a moment, that was scary. It was terrifying to him, "thank you..."

      Haven rubbed his temples, pacing around the room feeling worried for his friend. "Look, I can't help you again." His brows frowned, "he smelled you, he knew you were in his room. He knows someone helped him out, but he won't mention it." Jimin observed him, his hands were shaking. The knight was loaded with fear for his life.

      "He doesn't have proof you did it."

     Haven walked to Jimin closely, whispering, "there are only three Fae's in this kingdom that can appear and disappear places, one of them is dead and the other doesn't know you."

      The prince's throat bobbed, "I'm sorry." Was the only thing that came out of his mouth, he doesn't doubt that Nolland will do something bad to him if he helps him again. "Next time, don't help me."

   "Next time?!" Haven was speechless, aghast by the prince. "Jimin, don't risk your life." It was more of a plead than a warning.

     Jimin ruffled up his blonde hair, pushing it off of his face, "Haven, this place is a nightmare, I am in love with Jungkook, and I will go back to him whether you help me or not."

       Haven gazed at him feeling sentimental, "do as you want then." The knight disappeared, leaving the prince in his room.

      He heard Fae's enter the castle, he was curious, walking out of his room and looking down the stairs to see for his surprise a high lord that he has seen at the ceremony. Jungkook told him about him, he was even more handsome than the last time he saw him. His soft pink hair, plump lips, a fancy and elegant look, he presented. "Isn't he in alliance with the Luminous Kingdom!"

His brain just took a few seconds to connect the puzzle pieces. "Jungkook sent him! To ask about me! Jungkook-" he thought, turning around and seeing Nolland.

"Oh, Jimin. I thought you would be asleep by now." Nolland said, his orange hair was pushed back.

"Liar." Jimin thought. Clearing his throat and acting as if he doesn't know the high lord that just entered, "who is that?"

The high lord smiled, "it's not important, but do you want to join?"

He nodded eagerly, he needs to talk to him and figure out why his mate sent him. They both walked down the stairs, "look who finally stepped foot in my Kingdom!" Nolland said with a bright smile.

The high lord with the pink hair made eye contact with Jimin, he looked away quickly and didn't smile at the high lord. "Your castle is smaller than I thought, also I see so much green, don't you know it's out of season?"

The high lord laughed, "you're quite the jokester, Jin."

The fae with the pink hair and glistening eyes hummed, "impress me and I'll form alliance with you." He paused, "I need to go to the bathroom."

Nolland turned around and saw Jimin,
"Can you call a maid?"

The prince's lips parted, "I'll lead him to it." And before Nolland denies the idea, Jin walked up to him.

"Go on then, lead me."

After they got far away from Nolland, Jin looked around to check if there were knights other than his present. "Jungkook needed me to check up on you. He was going insane, hasn't slept in days, hasn't eaten, all he does is hunt. Not hearing your voice made him get sick."

Jimin felt his heart ache, it was too painful to hear that, "please make him eat, tell him I'm fine!"

Jin looked around again before he said, "everyone is trying their best, just make sure you find the book of magic quickly-"

"He will not find the book of magic."

They turned around and faced Nolland, that's all what Jimin remembers before fainting. Completely blacked out, with Jin, they fell on the floor. It was dark and scary, as if light didn't exist, as if he was going to be trapped in total darkness forever, and as if he will never see his mate again.
