Rose had been working at Torchwood for what felt like 10 years. When she knew, it had only been a couple years time back in her home universe. Time went faster here, but that didn't mean she had forgotten about the Doctor in the short lived years. She never had, how could she. He'd given her a better way of living, a better life. She had loved that man, whole heartedly. And now, she had the meta crisis, human version of him. She'd helped him, the way the Doctor had asked. He had been right, this new Doctor had reminded her of the man she'd met when he'd saved her from shop window dummies. After this, it didn't take long for their relationship to progress, within two years roughly they had gotten married. Not long after this, Rose and her human Doctah had a baby girl, named her Sarah Donna Smith as the human Doctor had assumed the name of Doctor John Smith. So to the world he was John Smith but to family he was the Doctor.

Now, in present day, Rose was working, she loved this job of hers as head of alien intelligence. Torchwood typically had no issues but today the readings for alien tech were unbelievably high. So this being the problem, they had Rose on the case. "I'll go investigate." Rose spoke into her phone that was connected to control. Walking out of the Torchwood building, she began to look around and investigate as she had said. Of course at first she saw nothing, but all that time traveling with the Doctor had taught her plenty about investigating. Rose found herself halfway across town where there was a party going on, one that seemed suspiciously full with all the important people of London. Higher authorities, important personnel, etcetera. Soon enough, Rose was in a maid uniform, it reminded her of the first time they'd come to the parallel world. Walking through this party with drinks in her hand, the small blonde woman looked around for clues, any details that would help her. Rose walked past a man but didn't hear him murmur her name.

The night was coming to an end and Rose hadn't found any evidence or clue that would result in unusual alien activity. Sitting outside and looking up at the stars, Rose thought to herself quietly. 'The Doctor would know what to do, what to look for. Maybe it's nothing here.' A man -an older looking one as a matter a fact- was walking towards her as she was lost in thought. He was coming from the side, but Rose didn't notice him starting to walk and stopping and starting and stopping as if he was unsure as to whether he should approach her. When he finally made his way to her, Rose shifted over to the other side of the small bench, not snapping out of thought long enough to look up.
"It's a cold night, eh?" The man asked, a Scottish accent clinging to his every word.
"Hm? Oh, yeah, it's normally not so cold this time of year." Rose replied, finally focusing on the conversation before looking over at the man. Something about him seemed familiar but what, she couldn't pin point.
"What are you doing by yourself out here?" He asked, fighting what he truly wanted to say.
"Oh, yanno, just thinkin. A friend of mine, he would've known what to do tonight, I however can't seem to find what I'm looking for." She said, smiling softly at the man, her tongue between her teeth the way forming her signature smile.
"What exactly are you looking for?" He asked, trying his best not to sound nosy.
Something I had to check out for work. I'm not really a maid." She admitted to him and laughed quietly.
"Who are you then?"
"Mah names Rose... Rose Tyler."
The man seemed to find this funny as he begun to laugh quietly, Rose couldn't quite pin point what about her name was so funny.
"Somethin funny mate?"
The man shook his head visibly at her question.
"I can't believe it's really you." He said, standing up and looking at Rose. "I would've thought after all this time...you'd be gone."
Rose visibly showed her confusion, she didn't know this man. Or so she thought, she looked into his eyes. Soon enough, feeling that familiarity again.
Those eyes, she knew those eyes. They had changed though, how many times..she didn't know. It hit her like a sac of bricks. They held more years than those this man had. More pain, grief, love, anger, and happiness than of any one else she knew. She had only ever seen them in the Doctor and of course her husband. Leading her to ask...
"Doctah?"
"You figured it out. Oh, you were always brilliant Rose!" He practically picked her up to hug her, oh how he had missed his pink and yellow human.
"You're still you?"
"I'm still me, Rose. A couple regenerations since we last saw each other, I'm afraid. But, I'm still me."
Rose felt her eyes water as tears pooled, blinking them away she wanted to ask so many questions but simply hugged him again, feeling his hand in her hair as he let her rejoice.
"I'm still me."
