"..what's wrong.."his voice was nothing more than mere whisper but that was more than enough to make her heart beat erratically. "..where are you lost.."he asked while tucking a strand of her hair behind her ears.

She simply shook her head as she took several steps back much to his chagrin. "..these papers needs your signature." she extended the file towards his direction "..kindly sign it so that I could fax it as soon as possible..as it's quite urgent."

"Why are you behaving like this Nandini since morning.."he frowned. "..what's wrong with you."

She replied to his answer but without looking at him "..Manik Sir..you have hired me for work..so I am just doing that..so what's wrong with that." Her words were more than enough to give him panic attacks. "Nandini what are you saying.."

Nandini finally looked at him "I am just stating the fact..why..is there any problem with that as well.."

"Why are you talking like this Nandini. Why are you so cold.."Manik was loosing his patience now. "..did I do something wrong..tell me Nandini..did I by any mean offended you..unintentionally..why are you behaving like this.."

"I am behaving exactly how a professional should behave at a workplace." She didn't say anything more apart from "..I am keeping this file here..kindly let me know once you have signed it.."

She turned to walk away from him but before she could do so she was right back at the place where she actually belonged..

..in his arms.

"Manik Sir..what are you doing.."she struggled as she straight away landed against his chest. "..let me go.."

"Never.."his hold tightened around her while she continued to struggle "..have you lost your mind Manik Sir..I said leave me.." she tried to get out of his hold but unfortunately Manik was too strong for her.

"I am not leaving you till you tell me exactly what's bothering you.."He asked straightaway. "..why are you avoiding me since morning..and why are you acting so mean..harsh and cold.."

"Why do you care.."she stopped struggling as she knew it was of no use "..as long as I work 'professionally' and do my work diligently..anything that I chose to do apart from that in my personal life is none of your business.."

"Everything that you do is my business Ms.Nandini Murthy.."Manik declared. "..because you are Mine..Only Mine."

"Really.."now Nandini couldn't held back anymore. "..is that why you are keeping secrets from me.."

Manik was confused now. Though he loosened his grip on her but still he kept her in his embrace. "..What are you talking about Nandini.."

"Now..seriously are going to play this "I don't know Card" all over again...when you clearly know what I am referring to.."Nandini's words finally made him realise about exactly what she was referring to.

His expressions changed immediately which clearly didn't went unnoticed by her. "..So now..since you know exactly what I am referring to..now tell me..you still think I don't have reasons to act like this.."

Manik looked away as Nandini continued "..You claim that "I am Yours" but still you cannot trust me enough to share your past with me.."

"Nandini..I.."Manik tried to say something but unfortunately today Nandini wasn't in mood to give him a free pass. Since his hold had loosened up that's why she easily managed to get out of his embrace and took several steps away from him. "Don't say anything Manik Sir..because no matter what you say your actions are pretty clear that you don't consider me worthy enough..though you claim that "I am very special for you" but in reality there is no difference between me and any other person who works for you."

"So it's my request kindly stop lying..and giving me false hope when clearly you don't have any intention to tell me anything about anything. Because I don't want to become a part of your beautiful dream when you don't intend to make me part of your nightmares.."

Manik was baffled now. "Why don't you understand Nandini..it's not that easy.."

"Don't shrug it off simply by saying that it's not easy..when you simply haven't even tried at first place. The fact is no matter how much I try you won't let me in. You want me to be a part of your life..but still you chose to make me your weakness when in reality you should have made me your ultimate strength..but you simply didn't.."Nandini eyes were brimming with tears.

"..it's nothing like that love..at least listen to me.."Manik tried to wipe it away but Nandini stopped him only to ask him something that literally shook him to core.

"..if that's not the case..so tell me why were you so insistent on making me move in with you.."

Manik's eyes widened in horror as Nandini answered her own question. "..wasn't it because we fell in love with each other..due to which now my life is in danger.."
