"..are you okay kanna.."she could feel the anxiety in her grandmother's voice which clearly indicated that all her effort to hide her feelings went in vain as like always her Amms knew that something was indeed wrong with her granddaughter.

How she hoped that she could share the biggest secret of her life with the person whom she respect the most in this whole wide world.

How she wished that she could share it with her Amms that her world was falling apart and this time she wasn't even sure whether she would be able to survive this or not.

How she wanted her Amms to give her the "hope" that like every other time even this time every thing will be sorted and she will get a "happy ending" as well.

But unfortunately she couldn't even think to share it with her Amms let alone actually doing it for real.

Because of that she was compelled to do something that she hated to do the most in this whole wide world..

..lying to her Amms.

However she wasn't left with any other choice so she simply went ahead with the lie that she first spoke in front of her friend..then to Shanno and now to her Amms..

"..I am fine Amms..it's just that I am too exhausted..I haven't slept properly from past couple of days..I guess the life of a working adult is finally catching up with me..however it's nothing that a good night sleep can't cure.."

Though she knew that unlike her friends and Chachi..her Amms already knew that she was lying but still she continued to repeat the same words again. "Don't worry about me Amms..I will be fine.."

She was expecting that either Kishori would straight forward point her lies out or she would too repeat the same words that of others like "..take rest.." / "..don't over stress yourself.." / "..everything will be fine.." etc.

However she didn't expected her Amms to become her saviour by uttering those words that she needed to hear the most at that moment.

"Kanna..why don't you come back to Mangalore..at least for few days.."

"..I know I wasn't happy when I came to know that you took up a job in Mumbai. I was really upset that Shanno and Venkatesh both hid the fact from me along with you. The biggest reason why I was really disappointed because I was expecting you to come back to me in Mangalore once your education got over with..however this job thing really meant that my Nandu was all grown up now and sooner or later I would have to let you go to live your own life.."

"..but now looking at you..I can tell you the truth..that the way you are handling your life and the way your Chacha-Chachi are supporting you..it simply made my heart fill with joy.."

"..however..that doesn't mean I don't miss you Kanna..I miss you so much that I can't even explain in words.."

"..I know you must be very busy to even consider this option..but I would like it very much if you simply give it a thought.."

Her words made Nandini feel guilty "..why are you saying like this Amms. Why would I need time to consider this..and why are you requesting me to visit you in Mangalore. You are my Amms..and that is my home. You just have to say the words and I will be there."

"Then come to Mangalore..even if it's for few days Kanna..I am missing you like anything.."Kishori's words seemed more like pleading that literally teared Nandini up. "..I miss you too Amms..I miss you so much.."

Somehow Kishori's words gave Nandini the relief from the excruciating pain that she was experiencing just few moments ago. "..I will see you tomorrow in Mangalore Amms..I promise.."

"Are you sure Kanna..are you sure there won't be any issue at your work place.."Nandini knew the exact answer to Kishori's question "..Malhotra Industries won't go bankrupt in my absence Amms..I am just another employee..not the owner of the company..they would survive.."

Though Nandini's heart pain while uttering those words but still she chose to pay no heeds to it as she didn't wanted to think about Manik or anything related to him at the moment.

She wanted to be in warm embrace of her grandmother..where she would feel safe, secure and happy...like always.

"I will wait for you Kanna..come soon.."Kishori's words were full of longing which echoed exact feelings of Nandini as well "..I will be there tomorrow Amms..Nandini's promise.."

They both talked a little more after which the call finally ended.

Kishori was way to happy now. Wiping her tears away she got up from the seat only to call Ramma who came running to her "..Amma you called.."

"Rama..I want you to bring some extra milk from Vishwa right now..as I need to make Payasaam for my Nandu.."

Her words made Rama smile too. "..is she coming here.."

"Haan Rama..she is coming here tomorrow.."Kishori was way to happy to notice anything as she walked out of the room while continuously giving instructions to Rama (who followed Kishori out of the room as well.).

Had she noticed her surroundings she would have definitely caught up with the prying eyes that listened every single words of Kishori's conversation with her beloved granddaughter "Nandu".

And now her own happiness knew no bounds as finally her planned begin to work.

Nandini's sudden visit to Mangalore was a clear indication that Nandini got the "note" and was now doing exactly what she expected of Nandini.

Her heart was beating so rapidly that she was wondering whether she would die out of happiness or what.

"Manik Malhotra—what did you thought that you will keep Nandini away from the darkness that has consumed you so many years back. You think that that by hiding your past you will have a happily ever after with her. So i think..it's high time..that you should be reminded of the biggest and simplest fact of your life..that.."
