                                              "..Manik..are you sure about this.." he could see Cabir getting really uncomfortable. "..because I certainly am not.."
He smirked as he got up from his seat only to walk toward the wall where her picture was carved. "..I am done hiding Cabir..now I want to live my life.." he caressed her picture with the gentle pressure of his hand as he spoke "..with my life.."
"But Manik.."he could hear apprehensiveness in Cabir's voice and he hated it as he never liked whenever Cabir doubted his decisions. So he simply cut him off "..Cabir..just let it be.."he turned to look at Cabir "..I know you are having doubts now..but soon you will see that I made the correct choice.."
"You are fooling Nandini..Manik.."Cabir couldn't take it anymore. "..you are lying to her.."
"All's fair in love and War..Cabir.."he smiled crookedly. "..haven't you heard this statement before.."
"She doesn't deserve this Manik.."Cabir was not ready to back off which really annoyed him. "She deserves to know the truth.."
He had enough of Cabir's nonsense and he knew that it was time for him to put his feet down or else Cabir might end up ruining everything. So he used his authoritarian tone to close the conversation once for all. 
"Nandini is Mine Cabir..and I will do whatever is takes to make sure she stays safe and secure."
"I love her Cabir.."
"..she is the reason of my existence.."
"..and there is no way that I am going to let anyone come between us.."
"..including my past.."
Manik could see the conflict in Cabir's eyes so he insisted. "..I know you are worried for us Cabir..but trust me when I say this..I will never let anything hurt her..ever.."
"..you are being extremely selfish Manik.."Cabir knew it was of no use to make Manik see reason as he won't budge from his decision. However Cabir also knew that it was important for Manik to know the fact so that he would see what he was actually getting himself into. "..I know that you love Nandini beyond measures and this is your way to protect her.."
"..but unfortunately Manik..what you fail to see is that Nandini doesn't need protection..as she isn't the weak point of your relationship..rather..you are.." he pointed out the obvious. "..not even for a second consider yourself to be the strength of this relationship Manik..as Nandini has already coveted this title to her name."
"She deserves to know the truth Manik. She deserves to know every single aspect of your lives. I know you think that she will leave you if she came to know about your past..but unfortunately that's where you are wrong Manik.."
"..she will not only accept it..she will become your rock as well..because that's what Nandini Murthy is truly about. She knows it very well what she had gotten herself into but the way her eyes shine it clearly shows that she have never been more happier in her entire existence to this extent before meeting you."
"She is too strong for you..but unfortunately you considering her weak will only damage your relationship with her..as you don't consider her equal.."
"You do love her like Crazy..but you also need to respect her like insane as well..because without mutual love and respect a relationship no matter how deep it claimed to be can never last long.."
"Start giving her that respect Manik..as she isn't some helpless victim or maiden.."

"..and it would be way better if you start accepting this as soon as possible..or else you might end up loosing her forever.."
Cabir didn't even bother to wait for Manik's answer as he simply stormed off Manik's cabin.
Once he left Manik turned his gaze back to Nandini's picture. "I know you are strong enough to handle anything Nandini. I have never doubted this fact for a second."
"..however this isn't your battle to begin with so why should you be burdened with the unnecessary and irrelevant baggage's of my past.."
"..you deserve only happiness and unconditional love..which I fully plan to shower upon you.."
"..our future will not be tainted because of my past.."
"..I won't even let the shadow of my dark past even touch you.."
"..you are my star who deserves every ounce of happiness that exist on the face of the earth.."
"I know whatever I am doing is wrong..but it's for your happiness only."

Manik was extremely determined to stick by the choice that he made..
