I was listening to If You Don't Know on repeat okay I suggest you listen to it or at least Never Be or Tomorrow Never Dies bc... Well, you know but like damn BÆ

I was feeling much better. So much better. It felt like I was breathing clean and fresh air. My ankle was sore more than anything and my thigh... Well, my thigh has seen better days.

Adrenaline was pumping through my veins. It ends today. Ashton better have a plot of land reserved for his dead body.

I had many reasons for wanting to exterminate Irwin. The reason I share with Michael: Melany. Another was because after all this time he wanted nothing to do with me. I was also to take the fall. Ashton messed with the wrong person.

I began tapping on Michael's shoulder to get up, but he just tucked his head underneath the blanket and into the pillow even more. So I pushed him off the bed. He groaned and I couldn't help but snicker at his sleepiness.

"Let's go, we're gonna get some breakfast. On me." His head popped up from behind the edge of the bed.

"You're the real MVP, I love you." I grabbed my deodorant from my bag and quickly sprayed it on. We slept in our clothes with our shoes on last night. We didn't really care much for showering. "You check out, and I'll get a taxi, yeah?"

"Michael. We can't."

"Oh, right. Here's a SnapBack, maybe it'll help," he handed me a black and blue hat. "We'll walk." We packed up our stuff and headed out. Luke's gun was tucked in my inner jacket pocket. I had one less bullet.

We checked out and rushed down the street. I pointed out a café from across the street and he stepped in the middle of the street.

"Come on, Hood."

Some cars were sneaking past him, others lurching to a stop. "Have you lost your common sense, Michael." I pulled the hat down a little. He skipped to the other side of the street, smiling at me. He followed me, parallel to each other, as I walked/limped a bit down the sidewalk to a crosswalk. When the walking figure popped up, me and a few other people crossed the street. "That is how you die, ya know."

"Not a bad way to die, ya know."

"Yeah? And what is?"

"A bullet or two. To the stomach. That would hurt like a motherfucker. Chances are extremely low of surviving... Painful, for sure." I just might have to take that into consideration.

"That's one way of thinking, Clifford." We walked into the café, me following Michael's lead inside. "I'll go get a table in the back. Here," I handed him some money, "you order." He stuck his tongue out at me as he got in the somewhat short line. I made my way over to the back, making sure I wasn't facing anybody.

I wasn't sure about how we were gonna do this - make sure nobody at all recognizes me. At least until we find Ashton.

Look at me now. Only over a week ago I was in an RV with four other people. Only over a week ago I wanted to change. Now we were split up; one was dead, another missing, two paired at the hip, and the other thinking he was slick.

I looked up at the TV, either "they" are trying to keep the whole thing quiet or people were just tired of talking about me. The time, in the corner of the screen, read 1:26 p.m. I guess we were both very tired.

Michael plopped down in the seat across from me, sliding over a blueberry muffin. "Sorry, they didn't have any Chinese food."

"I'm not a fucking Asian." I mumbled, biting off a bit.

"So, I heard there's gonna be a big crowd tonight. At the Washington Monument, admission is free. Maybe we could go."

"Why? What's happening there?" I bit off a blueberry, squishing it in my mouth.
