Fallon had just been walked in on by her best friend and her ex and her first thought was to go and make up with her dad. Fixing one relationship at a time. Baby steps, she thought.

She pondered at the door of her fathers study, debating whether he was worth the effort. He wasn't, but she decided to talk to him anyway. She'd regret it if she didn't.

Basically trembling, she knocked half heartedly at the door in front of her and waited. No answer.

She did the same once more and stepped back anxiously awaiting the appearance of her father at the open door. Still no answer.

Fallon honestly wasn't surprised. He'd nearly disowned Steven after he'd declared his news, alas she thought maybe this time he'd have learned from his mistakes.

She knocked again, more harshly, getting frustrated now at his lack of effort. If this were a cartoon, you would have probably seen steam fuming out of her ears by this point.

"Daddy I know you're in there, stop hiding and face me like the man you'll never be!," she yelled at the closed door, getting as close as she could so he could hear her through the wood.

Yet again, she heard no reply. Maybe she was too harsh. No she was being reasonable. Blake was the one acting like a stroppy child.

Fallon gave up at trying to make amends and stomped away back to Kirby who was still sitting on the stairs.

When Kirby saw Fallon approaching she slowly stood from her seated position as gave her an apologetic look, holding her arms out in front of her.

Fallon closed her eyes in despair and walked straight passed her, ignoring Kirby completely as if she were never there at all.

Without blinking an eyelid, she continued past her girlfriend and sped hastily up the stairs, disappearing when she reached the top and turned right.

Still with her arms held out, Kirby sighed heavily, dropping her arms to relax by her sides.

"Jesus, he must have pissed her off real good," she said quietly to herself. "And now you're talking to yourself, maybe you do need therapy."

Kirby turned around to look upstairs and gazed up to where Fallon had disappeared moments previously and pondered going to find her. Be a comforting partner and all that, she thought.

Fallon was tricky though. If she was pissed off, you would be advised to leave her alone, yet Kirby being Kirby, she decided to go after her anyway, denying her instinct with a mere shrug before climbing the many stairs.
