Anders looked at his daughter, hands raised slightly, palms faced upwards towards the hanging chandelier hanging above.
"Well what do you think?" Anders stared at her, prompting a response with his eyes.
Kirby shifted her weight from one foot to another continuously.
"No," she suddenly said.
"Fallon is having a hard time at the moment. What you're suggesting? Not a good idea trust me," she replied with tone.
"Pardon me, but I believe I know Fallon a lot better than you do. I have worked for the Carringtons for over two decades. The upper hand belongs to me,"
"Dad I know you're trying to be the wise old owl here but-" Kirby began a long speech where she was going to try mocking her father.
"Stop, just let me do my job," Anders pointed a wrinkled finger at her warningly and then walked away towards the east hall, probably heading to kitchen.
Rolling her eyes, the red head stamped her feet hard against the marble tiles as she walked into the lounge.
A part of her hoped she'd find Fallon there, back to her normal self. Instead she found a bleach haired Alexis, perched of the edge of the couch, with four or five servants gathered around her.
"Alexis what the hell are you doing?" Kirby leant all of her weight on her back leg as she stopped to question Alexis.
Alexis slipped a grape past her lips and stood up with certified bitchyness, fingers poised.
"Nothing but a little necessary self care before tonight dear I'm going to need it," she waved the servants away and Kirby gained full view of the coffee table in front of Alexis.
The surface of the glass was cluttered elegantly with bowls of grapes and other various fruits. Cooling face masks sat in a bucket of ice, initially meant for wine.
Rolling her eyes had become a great part of her life now living at the Carrington manor and this was another appropriate example of her doing so righteously.
"Seriously why-" Kirby stopped, acknowledging to herself that whatever she said next wasn't going affect Alexis in any way.
She turned her heel promptly and walked out, arms still folded, in the opposite direction of Alexis, who was now standing precariously in the middle of the living room.
It felt to Kirby like she spent all her days trying to chase after her girlfriend and instead met every single person living at the manor apart from Fallon. Fun.
Kirby was just wandering aimlessly around in circles by the time she came across Steven.
"Hey," he greeted Kirby with that typical Steven smile.
"What's wrong?" She asked him straight away, eyes squinted, working out what he was hiding. There was always something with him.
Steven looked back her, startled at first and then relaxed a little when he realised he'd been rumbled already. Kirby waited patiently for an honest answer.
"Look I don't know if tonight is a good idea," he sighed in indecisiveness.
Kirby stared blankly at him. She was sure she must know he was on about, but she rarely listens to what anyone is saying, unless it's Fallon of course.
She racked her brain, hidden by her expression for a few seconds before her thought was interrupted by her half brother.
"Wait Anders did tell you right? Or have I just-" Steven began, clearly worried.
"Yes!" Kirby exclaimed suddenly, much to Stevens surprise,"no no I know now yep he told me no no i got you dude."
Steven was still recovering from the loudness at which she had just yelled. God what if Fallon heard, he thought.
"Shhh," Steven glared," keep it on the low down."
He looked at Kirby who looked pretty pleased with herself for remembering something for once.
He placed a hand on her shoulder and said quietly," just keep your voice down and don't tell anyone okay? I'll see you tonight."
Kirby nodded reluctantly as she watched him exit the corridor and wondered what she should wear for the evening ahead. Although she didn't agree that it was good idea, a small part of her was accepting that it might be a fitting way for Blake to apologise.
