Chapter 17

"So, do you like Tristan?" I asked quietly as possible, part of me hoping that he wouldn't hear.

"Yeah, I kind of got over the fact that you liked him. He has a girlfriend now, so it's not that big of a problem for us." Jai answered, looking over at me.

"Okay, that's good. Now that we saw each other, we're probably going to be friends again." I thought about it for a second. Tristan, Malaycia, Makayla, and me all being friends together again will-

"Anyways, let's get to bed." Jai cut off my thoughts, jumping into bed with him and shutting off the light.

"Love you." I whispered, snuggling more into Jai. All I got in response was soft snoring. I smiled, closing my eyes, thinking about us.

We we're going to be forever and ever, nobody could take that from us.

I woke up the next day, opening my eyes and shutting them quickly because of the bright light.

I groaned in tiredness, turning around and getting up out of bed. I looked at the bed, once my eyes were used to the light, seeing that Jai was sound asleep.

I smiled lightly to myself, tip-toeing out of the bedroom and down the stairs, to our big kitchen. The kitchen wasn't that huge, but it was a decent size. The floorboards were a rosy brown, with slight lighter color patterns on. The cabinets were a shade of light brown with little specks of dark brown on them. The counters were made out of granite, leaving them always smooth.

I looked around the kitchen, deciding if I should make some breakfast. I just shrugged it off, opening one cabinet, getting out the ingredients for chocolate chip pancakes. I made the pancake mix, putting chocolate chips in occasionally. I put the mix into small circles on the pan, flipping them over when one side was done.

"Hey!" Jai's voice made me jump, making me throw a unfinished pancake flying over to the other side of the kitchen. I srunched up my nose in annoyance, looking at Jai with wide eyes.

"Jai!" I shouted, my eyes still widened.

"Sorry." He said in between his laughs, stumbling a little.

"That's not funny." I giggled a little but covered it up with a cough.

"Sorry, babe." He stopped laughing, walking over to the unfinished pancake, picking it up and throwing it away.

"Thanks." I smiled, giving him a hug. I let go of him, turning myself around and going back to flipping the pancakes.

Four minutes later, the both of us were sitting at the table, chit-chatting about things and laughing about the past.

"Remember when-" I got caught off by my phone ringing. I looked at the caller ID, seeing that it was Makayla. I looked at Jai apologetically, standing up and answering the phone.

"Hello?" I said into the phone.

"Hey! So, Tristan's girlfriend called saying that we all should hang out. Brent and I are coming, I'm not sure about Malaycia and Luke, but what about you?" Makayla's voice filled the phone speakers.

"Umm, let me ask Jai real quick." I covered the speakers, asking Jai the question. I uncovered the speakers as he nodded. "Yeah, we'll hang out with the four of you guys." I answered.

"Great!" She chirped. "Do you want to ask Malaycia and Luke?" She asked.

"Sure." I let out a breath, smiling a little.

"Okay, bye!" Her voice chirped, hearing the little 'beep, beep, beep', telling me she hung up.

I called Malaycia, waiting for her to answer.

"Hello?" Her voice sounded tired.

"Hey, wanna hang out with Tristan, his girlfriend, Brent, Makayla, Jai, and I?" I asked her, my voice quiet.

"Sure." She said, a yawn escaping her lips.

"Okay, see ya later." I said, hanging up.

I walked over to Jai, sitting down in my seat. "We have to get ready." I said as my phone buzzed.

'The mall, at 2:00' Makayla texted. I replied with an 'okay', turning off my phone.

"Ready?" I asked, opening the front door.

"Yep." Jai walked out, shoving his phone down his pocket. I walked put after him, making sure the door was locked.

I hopped in the car, Jai starting the car and driving down the familiar road to the mall.

In about 10 minutes we were there. We got out, walking towards the front of the mall, seeing; Malaycia, Luke, Brent, Makayla, Tristan, and Tristan's girlfriend who's name is Veronica.

"Hey, guys!" I said, grabbing Jai's hand and putting it in mine.

"Hey." They all said in unison.

"Hey guys, sorry I'm late." I turned around seeing Beau and his new girl.

"Beau-Bear, I haven't seen you in such a long time. I missed you!" I gave him a hug, making him stumble back a little.

"I missed you too, Mack." He laughed a little as I let go.

"Let's get this mall thing on!" Luke said, making everyone laugh as we went inside.

The rest of the day was amazing, everyone laughing.
