Closing Chapter

recommended : listen to the music with the
chapter, it's a good song ;) 🥀

The end of a chapter doesn't mean it's the end of the whole story..
It just means it's time for a new
beginning.

It just means it's time for a new beginning

I fidgeted with my nails as I stood outside of Quincy's front door. It's been months since I've last been here and I didn't even feel the same emotions I once felt. The comfort and homely feel was replaced with cold nostalgia and discomfort. I felt out of place here.. I rubbed my stomach to remember why I had to keep pushing through this all, and eventually I gathered up the courage to ring his door bell.

It took Quincy about 3 minutes to make his way through this big ass house to the door. Once he opened it, I felt my heart about to beat through my chest. The thick tension suffocated me and my hands started shaking so much I had to hold them behind my back to keep him from seeing. My anxiety caused me to avoid all eye contact so I focused solely on his outfit, he had on a white t-shirt, white bomber, ripped jeans and Adidas', his hair was up in its signature bun and I suddenly felt underdressed and.. less than.

"Hey.." Quincy said lowly as I forced a smile.

"Hey." I replied back softly as I looked around the front of the house.

"You here for your stuff, right?" He asked as he stepped back and allowed me in.

"Why else would I be here?" I said sassily as I walked in the foyer and headed straight to the room to get my stuff.

"I was just asking a question.." I heard him mumble under his breath but I chose to ignore it. I texted the mover guys to come in and grab the stuff ; I held everything small in my hands because with my new pregnancy, I wasn't able to lift anything heavy.

"So how've you been?" He asked.

"Better.. really looking forward to this move." I admitted. "Can't wait to see what the future holds." I said as I smiled down at my stomach.
