Samantha Spano

The Wrath of Seven Kingdom

“Waaaaa!!!” The cry of a baby rings through the desolate city as the clock strikes midnight. A baby lies on a padded table wailing into the night, calling for someone, but to no one. There is no one to call for.

The baby Samantha was born in Seven Kingdom north of Bosco and Fiore. She was born weak with little chance of survival and her parents knew this too well. It was this one night that she would be given the title: orphan.

Her parents ran inside one day, Samantha in her father's arms, and placed her on a table. Her father and mother frantically searched their small home in a quest to find their gift to Samantha.

Once retrieved they ran to their newborn baby and placed a lightning lacrima next to her as she cried into the night. Her mother picked up the lacrima and placed in on her daughters stomach, and forced it through her skin. The cries grew louder and filled the house until suddenly, it stopped, and silence once again rained over the home.

The baby Samantha lay still on the table, no muscle twitches, no sound, no life. Her mother cried and screamed while her father tried to comfort her, hiding his tears with a sunken head. It was that night that her parents would suddenly vanish, leaving their newborn behind, but it wasn't just her parents, the city of hustle seemed to just...stop.

Samantha lied on that very table until morning when a faint cry could be heard from her home, but if there are no ears to hear it, does a cry even matter? She pleaded for help in the subtext of her undeveloped words and to some miracle, her cries were answered.

Samantha fell off of the table and hit the ground with no pain and as if being controlled by a puppet master, she crawled out of her house, into the dead streets of her town, and into a nearby forest behind her house where she was once again, alone. No. She wasn't alone.

She was met with the gaze of a purple dragon whose wings rivaled the span of her entire town. Its fangs dripped with a toxic fluid and its scales seemed to steal the radiance of the sun beams that glimmered on it. The dragon showed no aggression, no hostility, for how can one be hostile toward pure innocence, such was in baby Samantha.

Over the course of the next few years towards Samantha's young childhood, the dragon of toxin bestowed upon her the gift of poison dragon slayer magic. Samantha left the dragon's den one morning to slip into the lake a mere 20 feet away, but when she returned, on July 7, X777, she was once again alone.

The 5 year old's eyes swelled up as torrents poured from them. Her cries soon turned to screams and in one swift sweep, the flew around casting a cloud of venom to encase her. It was dispelled and when she opened her eyes, she could only see the withered forest she grew up in.

Samantha left Seven that day in search of the dragon who raised her but to no avail was her teacher found. Her travels did however lead her across many lands. Once she left Seven she ventured to Bosco where she was met with a guild by the name of, Beings of Profectus, who had helped her hone her powers.

It was when Samantha attempted to leave Beings of Profectus in a further search for her dragon that problems arose. The guild that trained her and gave her a place to rest for a few days gave her one final test before she was allowed to leave, she had to defeat all of the guild wizards.

She battled fervently but was no match for the force of an entire guild. She let out a battle cry that roared into the skies with booming force. She let out one more roar and lightning shot from her mouth with such propulsion it would tear a normal man apart. She crouched down and sprang out releasing lightning magic and poison magic at once. When the smoke cleared, Samantha could see the she was the indisputable victor.

She began to leave when she was stopped by the guild master. She got into a ready battle position when the guild master spoke in such a calm tone it washed away any urge or will to fight that Samantha had. “Go To Fiore, and find Fairy Tail.” And with that, he left.

Samantha left Bosco and journeyed to Fiore as instructed and started searching for Fairy Tail. She walked up and down the streets of Fiore when she caught the glimpse of another boy of about her age, 14. He slumped down the street, blood running down the side of his body in a rivulet from the temple of his head to his lower leg. He collapses and Samantha runs to his aid.

She asks him where he is going, but no words are given from him and in turn, Samantha utters no words after that point. Eventually, their feet lead them to the very thing she was in search for. Samantha and the strange boy walk into the doors of Fairy Tail and are admitted into the ranks as full fledged wizards at the age of 14. From that day, Samantha and the strange boy give their hearts to Fairy Tail and all the wizards it holds. This is Samantha's home and for the first real time in her life, she isn't alone.
