I live in a world where over half of earth's population lives in poverty. Where people feel that the only way to escape physical and/or verbal abuse is to end their own life. A world where children are bullied and treated condescendingly because of their beliefs, their appearance, physical and/or intellectual ability/ lack thereof. Where everyone has darkness within them. A darkness that spends each day attempting to hack away at your mentality, threatening to take over. To control you. To engulf any light that lives within you. Where, at any moment, that person whom you consider trustworthy, someone you've told you're darkest secrets to, someone who has claimed a special place in your heart, could stab you in the back. We live in a world that will always be full of darkness. But... we also live in a world where light will always fight that battle against darkness. It may not always win. But it will always be there. We live in a world where people are laying down their lives to worship God. While they're being persecuted for acting on their personal beliefs, they continue to live in poverty and abuse. Where hope always seems to be found in the darkest, most hopeless of places. Where people spend their time serving others. We live in a world full of integrity, faith, love, and unspeakable joy. We live in a world where there is always good. Where there will always be good.
