PRESENT

Lisa's POV

'How did i end up here?' those words floated around my mind whilst i traced my fingertips along each crease, feature and love-mark on the bare back of the figure sleeping besides me, who was faced away. 'Am i lucky? Or is this stupid.' i continued to wonder and ponder what just happened, less than-- what? 15 minutes ago?

Maybe I've made a mistake.

Maybe this shouldn't have happened.

But at least I've come to terms with one thing..

'I love you'

NINE HOURS BEFORE~

Lisa's POV

Why the dressing rooms are so far from the stage I will never understand, we are skinny enough; do they really think we need the extra exercise?

Problematic of me to have such an opinion probably, but still I'll be asking about this tedious distance when I see Oppa after Jennie's show.

Speaking of which, I almost forgot that I was grabbing her jacket for her since she's going on stage soon for the results of this week's music chart winner—I mean she's gunna win anyway so doesn't really matter if I'm not there to witness it right?

It was also, kinda... weird how she hurried me out of there to get her jacket; of course she asked nicely like she always does with me but- something seems off, maybe I'm just trying to hard to be observant, we all know I'm not.

"Where the hell is it?" I mumbled to myself with clothes such as extra jeans, sweatpants, basic shirts and hoodies being tossed aside in search of Jennie's thick, black Nike jacket she wears in winter.

"Always bringing too many clothes for god sake" I murmured then giggled to myself at Jennie's cute overpacking habit—

I sighed in relief when I found the jacket and smiled sheepishly "Finally!" victory! I chuckled and gathered the scattered clothes, shoving them back into her bag once folded.

'Hope she won't be mad I took too long'

Once I turned around my eyes were caught by the mounted TV on the wall, broadcasting the show live where Jennie was front and center, giving her short winning speech.

"Of course she won, Fighting!" I cheered quietly whilst clapping slightly-

"Ahem—"

My gaze met the figure standing at the open door and I jumped from surprise.

Kai was looking at me, smiling, probably thinking I look like an idiot celebrating to myself, he leaned against the door frame with a hand tucked in his pocket.

"Celebrating to yourself?" Kai said, raising his brow.

See.

I chuckled embarrassed, with a faint pink tint on my cheeks then averted my eyes from his.

"Heh- yeah I was just grabbing a jacket for Jen since she said she was cold.."

I glanced back at him.

"Guess I missed her win" we smiled at each other, though mine faded slightly when he shook his head and laughed.

I looked at him with a puzzled look-

"Yeah you did- quiet a walk from here to the stage; I meant to ask my manager about that" he said with a shrug.

Glad someone agrees with me.
