JENNIE'S POV

My head throbbed with intoxication, I swayed to the side trying to reach for water, my eyes felt heavier and we were only two hours into our drinking game marathon. We had already played Buzz, flip the cup, drunk jenga and kings cup. Lisa was just as drunk as me but her cheeks were far redder than mine, the contrast from her soft white cheeks to the blush was intense to say the least.

she looked adorable.

Raising a glass full of some alcoholic concoction instead of the water I had meant to grab, I tilted my chin up and closed my eyes. I could hear Lisa giggling besides me, watching me goofing around.

"I propose another toast!" I exclaimed strongly, motioning the glass forward towards Lisa, still above my head. The liquid swirled around the glass and droplets of the alcohol slid down the brim.

Lisa's toothy smile fully activated the depleted lingering buzz in my system and I felt my heart warm at the sight. She hiccuped while laughing-- somehow choking on herself but raised her glass to mine and closed her eyes just like me; lifting her chin up and copied my expression.

"Another one!" She said suppressing low chuckles that rumbled in her chest.

I whispered dj khaled while covering my mouth and smiled when Lisa shook her head with her eyes still closed. She finally tilted her head down and opened her eyes, locking instantly onto mine.

Drunken smiles and slurred tension.

We cheers-ed.

We stared at each other.

...

Continued staring at each other.

We had stared at each other like this at least three times in the past couple of hours, never seeming to break eye contact for maybe minutes straight? I'm not too sure, can't even remember when I picked up this cup in my hand, let alone count seconds.

I've always thought Lisa was gorgeous, but thanks to our little staring contests I've taken greater appreciation towards her features, and even notices a few things I surprisingly hadn't before.... like the freckle on the base of her neck or the fact that her face is literally perfect. Her eyes are the perfect doe-shape, they compliment her beautifully plump lips, her nose isn't too big or too small, it's just right, her face shape too and oh my god that jawli--

"Jennie?" Lisa's voice ripped me from my thoughts and my eyes instantly readjusted to focus on her again.

"h-huh?" I swallowed non-existent  saliva, my mouth was dry as the Sahara. Lisa cocked her brow up and pointed to my glass by motioning her's forward.

"Are...you gunna drink to our toast Nini?" She questioned and popped her lower lip out, pouting at me with those big round puppy eyes. I glanced to her empty glass then to my full one and my mouth formed an 'o' of realization, before another word was said I chugged the drink back quickly, shivering as the sharp liquor sliced down my throat and tickled my senses.

I exhaled with satisfaction after finishing my drink and flipped my cup in front of Lisa, it landed upside down perfectly and I smiled, thinking how I've never been able to do that until now.

...

"Omg!" my eyes widened as I stared at Lisa. She looked back at me and smiled with a raised brow, questioning me.

"I know it's pretty cool Nini but everyone can do that" she said and proceeded to take her own cup and flip it just like I did, landing it upside down without a blink.
