Scene 2
The setting is a school classroom, decorated with tacky posters and classroom rules on the walls of the room. The desks are large tables facing the front of the classroom where the teacher's desk is (facing the audience). Alexis is on stage at her desk.
Josh enters the classroom walking towards Alexis' desk.
Alexis: (looking at phone crying) Josh, you have to see this.
Josh: What is it?
Alexis: (shows Josh the phone.) It's my mom, she, she left us.
Josh: (trying to comfort her.) Do you know where she went.
Alexis: (still crying.) Josh, She passed away.
Josh: Are you okay?
Alexis: (cheering up.) No, I need somebody to be here, with me, to help me get through this.
Josh: If my parents are okay with it I can help you.
Alexis: Oh, you're not who I was thinking about, but that's fine.
Josh looks disappointed and sad
Curtains close and cast exits.
