~Kaylee's POV~
*Next day*
"Your homework assignment is to right a one page report on the civil war." My history teacher said before the bell rung. I ran to the door to get to math.
I felt a tiny bump on my shoulder.
"Excuse me. I'm sorry. I got pushed." A voice said.
I looked up and saw Patrick's beautiful eyes. What am I saying?! I have Zach!
"Oh no. It's okay. Are you on your way to math class?" I asked
"Oh yeah. Mind if I walk you there?" He said
"Oh not at all." I smiled.
"So, how ya been?"
"Amazing!"
"Why is that?" He asked
"Zach asked me out yesterday."
"Oh. Well, congratulations." He said sounding disappointed.
"Is everything okay?" I asked.
"Oh yeah everything is fine." He smiled. A fake smile.
We walked into class and it just started.
~Patrick's POV~
"Zach asked me out yesterday." She said
My heart dropped. I lost all my chances with her now! I just don't understand why a girl like her. So beautiful and so nice and someone who wouldn't hurt a fly, go out with someone like Zach! He uses girls. He must've told her he "changed". The only thing he changed was his clothes.
"Oh. Well, congratulations." I said sounding disappointed.
"Is everything okay?" She asked.
"Oh yeah everything is fine." I smiled. A real big fake smiled.
We walked into class and it started right away. Class was boring as usual. I would always right down song lyrics or just draw.
"Today we are gonna be starting a big project!" My teacher said.
The whole class groaned.
"You would be working in partners. I have already picked your partners." My teacher said earning another groan from the class.
I was still doodling until she called my name.
"Patrick, you will be paired up with Kaylee!" She said. My heart sunk.
