~Kaylee's POV~
*THAT NIGHT*
What happened at school today?! What did Zach whisper in his ear?!
"Kaylee! Get down here right now!" My mother yelled up the stairs.
I run down the stairs in my pajamas.
"Yes mother?" I asked.
"What is this?!"
"What's what?"
"This B+!" She yelled
"Mom, it's only a B+. I promise I'll get my grade up!" I said.
"You better or you will be in big trouble!" She said.
It was silence for a second. What Zach did at school was eating me up inside. I just had to know.
"Mom, I need advice." I said.
"On what sweetie?" She said calmly.
"Well, you know I'm dating Zach right?" I said
"Yes I do. Why?"
"Well, today my teacher, Miss. Brown, told us we are doing a big project and we need to work in partners."
"Continue" my mother said.
"Well, I got partnered up with this boy, Patrick. He likes me. Zach knows he likes me. He also knows that we are partners. So when class ended, Zach pushed Patrick into the lockers and told him to back off and keeps his hands off of me while we are doing the project. Zach also whispered something in Patrick's ear. I'm just so confused."
"Sweetie, I think Zach is jealous. He doesn't want to loose you." She said.
"Oh. Thanks mom." I smiled.
I went back upstairs and went to bed.
*NEXT DAY AT SCHOOL*
I walked into math and saw Patrick with his head down.
"Hey Patrick." I said.
He looked up tiredly. He had bags under his eyes. It looks like he hasn't slept.
"Oh. Hey Kaylee." He said sadly.
"Is everything okay?" I said while sitting next to him.
"Yeah I guess."
"Do you want to come over today?"
"What?" He said taken back a little.
"Oh sorry. That came out really weird." I chuckled.
He chuckled back.
"What I meant was, do you want to come over and start with the project?" I said.
"Yeah sure. I just need to ask my mom"
He takes out his phone and texts his mom. That reminds me, I should text my mom.
"Hey mom. Can Patrick come over so we can work on the project?" I text her.
"Yeah. Stay safe honey xoxo." She texts back.
I put away my phone and see Patrick sitting there.
"Sorry, I was texting my mom." I said.
"It's okay. My mom said it's fine." He said.
"Okay. When class is over, we can just walk home." I said.
"B-but what about Zach? I don't need him p-pushing me into a l-locker a-again." He said nervously.
"It's okay. I'll talk to him if he says anything." I said.
The teacher walks in and starts to explain the project.
Class just ended and Patrick and I are walking out of class.
We see Zach come towards us with red eyes.
