~Patrick's POV~
My mom and I both get up and wipe off our tears.
"Mom, we have to leave." I said.
"We can't Patrick! Remember the last time we tried?! He came back and now he's even worse!" She says.
"The last time we just left. We didn't call the cops or any-" I was cut off by a heavy door knock.
My mom and I looked at each other confused. We started hearing police sirens in the distance. They started getting closer, closer, and closer! We heard the heavy knock again. We ran down the stairs and opened the door.
There stood the police with my dad in handcuffs.
"This is the time mom. This is the time we can finally be free" I whispered into her ear.
"I know sweetie. Tonight is the time that we are going to be free." She whispered back.
"Finally." We both whispered at the same time.
