"Thank you so much for treating me kindly." and gave them a smile but then I turned to Lisa and Jisoo giving them a 'I don't know what to do now. '
They understood but then started giggling at my look.
"Rose worked here for 4 months. She's 21 years old like me!" Lisa just randomly said that.
"While Jennie worked here for 5 months." Jisoo told me about her.
Everyone else were doing their work like cleaning, dusting.
"How old are you?" Jennie asked.
"I'm 20."
"Wow she's actually young. Why do you want to work here if you don't mind telling?" Jennie just asked that question very bluntly.
"Of course not! um-" I hesitated a little to tell them.
"Don't worry. They are like us. We're not forcing you though."
"Okay." And so I told them everything but not that much in detail.
"I'm sorry I didn't know. It was not necessary to tell us if you didn't want to. It's all my fa-"
"It's nobody's fault."
"She's just too kind! "
"I know and less than you guys though."
"Not to be rude or anything but" Jisoo said catching our attention." I think we should continue our work or else if the king saw us chit chatting we'll then chit chat in hell."
"Oh right. Let's get back to work."
"What am I suppose to do?" I asked. It was my first time and I had no clue what to do.
"Can you stand on this ladder and clean the edges of the roof? It's the only work left to do for now but it's too risky!" Lisa suggested.
"I'll be fine."
"You sure? "
"Yes. I'm sure"
She then went out and after a few minutes she came back with a ladder.
"Here you go."
She put the ladder in one corner and brought a cloth.
"You sure you'll be able to do it?" she asked worried.
"Do you believe me or not."
"Of course I do!"
"Then believe me when I tell you that I'll be fine."
"Okay, I was just worried."
"I know and thank you for that."
She just gave me smile and nodded.
I went to the the first corner ,too a cloth and climbed the ladder. Rose and Jisoo were holding it.
I finished cleaning the first corner and went down.
I did the other 2 corners while one was left. It was a little difficult and the ladder was very long. Well I can't blame the poor ladder or anything. The room itself was so big that it was necessary to have such a long ladder. I was literally tired of climbing it every time.
I climbed up and started cleaning the last corner. Suddenly I felt the ladder wobble a little.
I looked down and saw the rest of the maids were bowing down to someone.
Jennie tried to whisper something or tell me but I couldn't understand because I was on the ladder and it was tall but I still wanted to know who it was.
I tried to turn to see who it is but before I did so, I slipped from the ladder.
I was falling down and I closed my eyes for the bad impact and to get hurt but it never came.
I had the feeling of being caught in someone's arms.
I opened my eyes to see
....someone who I didn't know.
I was confused about who he was? And most importantly why did he save me?
