Chapter 3: The Test Before Acceptance

On the road to returning to the Kingdom; Adam and the Leader talk.

Army Leader:"I have my own question before we start with any that you possibly have"

Adam:"Okay, ask me"

Army Leader:"You knew it was a Dovahkiin but I had to ask him myself. You've done research about them?"

Adam:"Damn, I wasn't careful about it. Y-Yeah, they're an interesting bunch. Destiny and whatnot"

Army Leader:"I may sound bias but I would rather want my men learn about the other races instead of practicing swords and such"

Adam:"Trust me. Studying the race of would could be an enemy is very useful"

Army Leader:"Aha! Glad someone thinks that way! Now then, what questions do you have?"

Adam:"Well, where are we?"

Army Leader:"Where are we? An outsider?"

Adam:"You could say that..."

Army Leader:"You're in the Northen Kingdom, Xethia!"

Adam:"So that's where I am? Good thing I wasn't in the south or east. So what will happen once we get there?"

Army Leader:"You'll be taken inside the barracks for questioning. Where you been before the dragon"

Adam:"I don't think I could provide much information of where I was before that happen. Anything else?"

Army Leader:"Seeing as your not a citizen, get to know the land, shops, and the people. I'm sure we have something that'll entertain you"

Adam:"Can't wait then. Honestly, I don't know how this will go. I'm pretty much stuck in my game forever. Might as well be a swordsmen for fun. Maybe a mage? Those two seem fun to be"

Army Leader:"There's plenty of jobs you can take. From a knight, a mage, an alchemist or even a priest"

Adam:"This seems a like job application quest to pick what I will be. Then again, wouldn't it say I received a quest like that? I need to think about it and have some peace for a couple of days"

Army Leader:"Of course! We're almost at the Kingdom anyways"

Adam:"Glad to hear that!"

Arriving at the kingdom's gates, Adam hopes off and is taken into the barracks.

Kingdom Guard:"Now then, where were you before the dragon?"

Adam:"I was camping out in the forest"

Kingdom Guard:"Doing What?"

Adam:"Just getting enjoying the land. Doing some hunting and such"

Kingdom Guard:"Lived anywhere?"

Adam:"Not really. Just been a wanderer"

Kingdom Guard:"Okay...you're good to go. Just head down this hall for registration"

Adam:"Registration?"

Kingdom Guard:"Yes. We like to keep an archive of who came by"

Adam:"Okay"

Walking down the hall, he sees a female worker with a huge book and some magical items nearby.

Archive Lady:"Hello, you must be new to here"

Adam:"Yes I am"

Archive Lady:"Okay, just stand there for a second"

She puts her right hand out then a glow around Adam appears.

Archive Lady:"Nice to meet you, Kentaro"
