Chapter 9: Fire Vs Water

Today was the day for the duel. He woken up early to go over his equipment.

Kentaro:"Everything is at top condition. Though, I doubt just that will help. I need a strategy to beat Arturo. He'll have experience in combat but so do I from the multiple beta tests and I also have knowledge of the combat system itself. I could probably chain my moves into one big attack. If things go south, I'll have to use my fire magic. Winner takes all they say"

A knock on his door is heard. He stands and opens the door to see Lillian.

Lillian:"May I come in?"

Kentaro:"Yeah, you can sit here"

She enters the room and sits while he sat on his bed.

Lillian:"So today is the fight, I wished this day didn't come"

Kentaro:"I'm sorry. I've let myself to cause this without a second thought. But I will win"

Lillian:"I'm not blaming you. Though, I don't speak for what the others think"

Kentaro:"Heh. Kaneza said he was gonna kick my ass if I lost"

Lillian:"Ha! I hate the guy most of the time but he's one of the few people I can call a friend"

Kentaro:"It's good to have those type of people as friends. Even if they're like Kaneza"

Lillian:"And what about you?"

Kentaro:"Hm?"

Lillian:"You're so nice and kind. Makes me wonder if you're human or not"

Kentaro:"Well, living in a poor background, you soon realize that your friends and family are the only things you have. I've only just accepted what I had and figured that being nice and kind was the only way I could keep a smile on my face"

Lillian:"You're really interesting. Well, I guess the same goes for all of us"

Kentaro:"Yeah"

Lillian:"It's about time we head out"

Kentaro:"You're right. Time to see who's right"

They exited the building to see Kaneza and Nobi.

Kaneza:"You better win this"

Kentaro:"Of course. You think I want to lose?"

Nobi:"Good luck to you"

The four walk together. They reached to the front of the school and see Arturo with a crowd behind him.

Arturo:"I'm surprised you've showed. At least it makes things easier if you had ran"

Kentaro:"The entire school is watching..."

Arturo:"Well, are you ready? I want this over with and take my wife home"

Kentaro:"Tch. You're pretty cocky before the fight began"

Arturo:"But of course. You lack the experience I have obtained"

Kentaro:"We'll see about that asshole"

They left him alone and got back to viewing distance.

Arturo:"So, any last words?"

Kentaro:"Only a few"

They both pull out their swords.

Kentaro:"You can go die in hell"

They both ran towards each other and clashed blades. Each attack clashed with sparks flying off. Arturo jumps back and summons water orbs in the air.
