Chapter 12: Not everything is at it seems.

The Samodiva takes him to her room where he is placed onto her bed.

Samodiva:"I know you can't talk from being paralyzed but what do you think of our new bedroom? Isn't it beautiful for newlyweds just like us?"

Kentaro:"God no! It smells horrible!"

Samodiva:"What's that? You love it? I just knew you would!"

Kentaro:"When will this paralysis effect end?!"

Nobi had returned to the village. He searches for the group and explains to them what's happening. After telling them the situation, they head off to the cave. Once reaching the cave, the seemingly tense atmosphere from before is gone.

Nobi:"Weird, the area feels different"

Lillian:"But Kentaro couldn't sense anything wrong. Where is he anyways?"

Nobi:"He said he would check inside"

Kaneza:"Then let's go. He's probably in danger"

The group go inside the cave in search of their friend. Heading deep into the cave, the table, the empty vial and his sword were gone. The cave was nothing but a cave to them.

Kaneza:"There's nothing in here"

Lillian:"Yeah, maybe Kentaro left instead. He could be walking to the village right now to-"

That's when Nobi turns around to them with a look of worry.

Lillian:"...To tell us to forget the place"

Kaneza:"...Yeah, he's probably at the room already. Let's go check on him"

They left the cave in a hurry. Leaving the Samodiva disappointed.

Samodiva:"And here I thought I would be getting my two meals without trying"

Kentaro:"At least they didn't find us. Things would've been worse if they did"

She walks back towards him in curiosity.

Samodiva:"Now, I've been wondering something. Why is a fire user all he way up here? Actually, scratch that, I have a better question. Who are you?"

He isn't able to open his move.

Samodiva:"Right, the paralysis potion. Let me make a cure for it"

She heads to the table filled with ingredients. After awhile, she comes keep with a small vial in hand.

Samodiva:"This should lower the effects. I don't want you up and running from me so this should give you the ability to talk at least"

She opens his mouth and makes him drink the vial. He noticed the level and timer of the effect decrease somewhat on his sheet.

Samodiva:"Now, will you please answer my question honey?"

Kentaro:"You literally have me kidnapped in your chamber and you want answers?

He tries moving his hands but can barely lift a single finger. She crouches down to his level and lifts his head.

Samodiva:"Is that anyway to answer to your wife? I only asked a simple question. Who are you?"

Kentaro:"Just a simple swordsman in training"

Samodiva:"No, no. Who are you really?"

Kentaro:"...I don't follow"

Samodiva:"How can someone be so clueless? That seemingly endless pool of magic in you, no simple human can achieve that without something serious happening. So what is it? Obtained a philosopher stone? Made a deal with one of the four Grand Elder Dragons? Or maybe the Demon Dimension?"
