Chapter 5: Forest Guardians Part 2

Kaneza:"So what you think is here?"

Kentaro:"Hard to say. With what the creator had in mind, it could be anything. It couldn't be what I think it is. Did my team devs mess with the coding?"

The two stop at a pond of water. Looking at the ground, it wasn't hard to see there was footprints but what was surprising was that it was human-like.

Kaneza:"Maybe another player?"

Kentaro:"Probably. It seems like when I died, the game was released shortly after. It would explain why public players are here"

Kaneza continues to look around the area while Kentaro stays behind.

Kentaro:"This footprint is unique though. Seems about female, 5'7 in height and it's giving off an high amount of magical potential. Either this is a female player who deeply invested into magic or-"

Kaneza:"Kentaro!"

He gets up and runs towards his voice.

Kentaro:"He found our guilty party! It isn't a single person doing this! It's a group of-"

He dodges a vine that was aimed for his heart.

Kentaro:"Nymphs!"

(Nymphs=Are mythology creatures that are imagined as beautiful maidens who live in areas full of nature)

Kaneza:"Help me out here!"

Before he could, more Nymphs appear out of trees.

Kentaro:"Those are Hamadryads! They think we would harm their trees"

He pulls his sword out and gets into stance.

Kentaro:"You're gonna let him go! We don't mean to harm you!"

Nymph:"Like we would listen to the lies of humans! You make us sick with abusing nature and torturing the wildlife!"

Kentaro:"We only do it to survive!"

Nymph:"Then as of our main rule, it's kill or be killed!"

More vines appear and strike at him. He dodges all of them and cuts the ones that gotten too close.

Nymphs:"What?! It's impossible for you humans to stop my vines!"

Kentaro:"You think some vines would stop me? If it wasn't for the awareness skill, I would have died on the spot"

More Nymphs appear and surround him.

Kentaro:"This is getting dangerous. Almost the entire forest is trying to kill us"

Kaneza stomps the ground and soon it starts shaking. The Nymphs enter their trees while Kentaro falls onto the ground.

Kaneza:"Let's get out of here!"

He grabs Kentaro's arm and pulls him up. They began running while the ground shakes more intensely. As they made it back to the village, Kaneza laughs.

Kaneza:"Can't believe they bought that!"

Kentaro:"Bought what?"

Kaneza:"The fake earthquake I did"

Kentaro:"Wait, you faked that?! It felt so real!"

Kaneza:"You don't know anything about magic elements? I was birthed with earth"

Kentaro:"No, I don't"

Kaneza:"Man! You're in for some fun experiments then!"

Lillian:"Kaneza!"
