Chapter Seven: Death Takes It's Toll

~Nico's P.O.V.~

I opened my eyes slowly with a light yawn.. Percys face inches from mine. I jumped and scrambled away, my head smacking the wall. "ouch!" I whimper and glare down at Percy. He was sitting up now and looking a little surprised at being woken so suddenly "what the hell Jackson?!" I shout.

"you banged your head not me!" he says innocently and I had to refuse the urge to punch him in the face for being so stupid. "II meant about me being in your bed!" I say "..oh..I didnt think you would mind, you feel asleep on my desk and-" "so your plan was to sleep with me?!" I ask, my  face flushing slightly at how bizare it sounded.

His cheeks went a little pink two "nothing happened!" he says quickly "well-" I started but  he stopped me "Nico im sorry, I really dont want to argue with you after all youve done.." he says sadly giving me a weak smile. I found it impossible to stay angry at  him now, I mean it was wierd me waking up next to him but he was only trying to help and I wasnt even bothered.. I only acted the way most shocked people would so I didnt seem odd..well any more odd then I already was.

"..fine!" I sigh but he looked at me completly relieved. I crawled out the bed and glanced out the window, campers just starting to comeout of their cabins. This was going to be really hard but I ouldnt let him stay in his cabin forever like I knew he would.

 I turn back to Percy who was sitting up but he was looking at the floor his face dark. "you should get ready" I say softly and he looks up at me with red puffy eyes, already rimmed with tears "is she..is she really gone?" he asked. I nod sadly and watch as he shattered again and broke down. "n-no she cant b-be!" he shouted as he sobbed into my shoulder.

~Frank's P.O.V.~

Hazel  had woke up in the middle of the night crying, she said she had a dream of Annabeths death and was scared to go back asleep so we went to the beach and stayed there, watching the stars slowly change into clouds. She was sitting next to me with her head on my shoulder as the sun started rising "thanks Frank" she says softly and I smile a little "it was a bad day for everyone, soon things will start getting better" I say.

We talked about what we would do when we got back to Rome until the horn went and we made our way to the mess hall. The others didnt know about Annabeth yet but they wereing going to find out this morning..

~Jason's P.O.V.~

Thalia didnt take it well AT ALL. She broke down into tears which wasnt like her but Annabeth had been her bestfriend, like her little sister. They had grew up together and lived on the streets, running from monsters before coming to Camp Half-Blood, loosing Annabeth was like loosing half her life, we were all feeling near enough the same but Percy and Thalia.... We never slept for the rest of the night, i started crying with my sister but i was pretty sure we werent the only people in mourning.

We stayed in our cabin until the horn blew and even then we didnt want to come out but the announcment would be this morning...

~Piper's P.O.V.~

i didnt sleep that night, i managed to cover most of my puffy eyes with my makeup but i knew my mascara would be running soon. Me and my siblings made our way to the pavillion along with everyone else. Considoring the circumstances we were allowed to sit next to our friends instead of with family. everyone just thought Chiron was in a good mood but we knew the truth.

I sat next to jason and looked at our table, Leo was by to Hazle who was next to Frank, Thalia was on the other side of her brother. i didnt know if Percy or Nico were going to join us but the chances where small. A few people asked what was the matter but we just waved them off, no one wanted to explain what had happened last night.

~Leo's P.O.V.~

No one on our table spoke but I didnt blame them, our eyes were all puffy and red from a night of crying, each of us feeling exhausted and depressed. Chiron didnt look much better either when he arrived, he had sort of become Annabeths father when she got to camp. He had lost a lot of Heroes but Annabeth wasnt just that.

No one took the news well, within a few minutes most of us where crying but all of us where now depressed, everyone was quiet as we comforted eachother. A shout came from behind us  and everyone turned their heads as screams and cries came from the poseidon cabin. "...oh gods" someone sniffled and everyone looked down.

Poor Percy.
