Chapter Eighteen: Forever

~Unknown P.O.V.~

"AW GUYS COME ONE!" Leo shouts, squirming around as Percy held him up above the water but there was no way for him to break free. He looked back at the others: Nico, Piper, Jason, Frank, Hazel, Rachel and Katie. They look at eachother then nod in unison "sorry Leo!" He laughs before droping him.

"NOOOOoooooo...." he sank below the waves of icey water, everyone on the beach cracking up at his dramatic fall. He came back up suddenly, gasping for air and it was easy to notice his shaking frame as he ran out the water as fast as possible.

As soon as he got to land he set himself on fire, letting the flames dance along his body, a firm smile on his face as he warmed up in an instant. "show off!" Hazel giggles and he wiggled his eyebrows "jelly of the Super-Sized McShizzle?!" he asks with a laugh. "you wish!" all of them snort as Leo brushes himself off "yep, you totally are" he smirks, winking at the group.

I rolled my eyes, Leo was such a wierdo, it surprised me that hes actually got any friends.

They sat down on the beach as Nico ran towards me. "shit!" I muttered as I quickly scooted back, hiding behind a large tree trunk. Nico dropped onto the ground and began picking up small logs and cautiosuly took a step back when he walked into the trees a little.

A twig snapped betheath my foot and I caught my breath as he instantly looked up, alert and scanning the area. He slowly reached fo his sword with his spare hand and I felt mine mirroring his actions until I was gripping the hilt of my dagger.

He was about to walk in deeper when I heard Frank shout "NICO we need that wood, before I freeze!" I smirked as Nico sighed and let go of his sword, picking up the last of the logs and slowly walking back, looking over his shoulder a few times.

I hunched low behind the bushes and quickly stumbled back  to my orignal place. The fire was ablaze now, all of them sitting around it with happy smiles as the all laughed and joked around, watching the flames as Leo made different shapes in the air above.

They didnt seem to be missing Annabeth liked I was told..I knew something was up, they probably killed her so the Romans would pity them, helping them out in a crisis. Well not a chance! theyre perfectly fine, even Kelp Face himself seemed pefectly content without his girlfriend.

I sat down on the ground and wrote my  new discoveries on my crumbled up note page. I dont know how long it had been but soon they  stood up "we better get going, if the harpies catch us its permant sleep" Jason says and Piper runs her finger under her neck, obviously meaning theyll chop off your head if you get caught.

They mumble in agreement and start heading back, Piper and Jason stopped just over the sand dunes and looked at Percy and Nico who where still sitting by the fire, watching the soothing waves as they quietly talked. "you guys coming?" Piper asks with a smile and Percy turns his head to look at her.

"Where going to stay out for a while" he says simply and I cringe slightly. Why would anyone want to be alone with Death breath?  

I heared quiet giggle as Piper pushed Jason away "well dont stay up too late!" she coos, making me tilt my head to the side in confusion.

They leave rather quickly and Percy turns back to the water, lapping agaisnt the smooth sand. I slowly edged closer, still staying in the protection of the trees but close enough to hear their conversation.

It was all hushed mumbles at first while Nico spoke, occasionally looking over to where I was. Percy only nodded a few times, telling Nico to carry on. When he was finished silence filled the air, the only sound was the cackiling pop of the fire, until finally Percy spoke. "I think we should wait for a while..maybe see how others handle it first" he  said in a soft tone and I heard Nico sigh loudly "yeah.." he mumbles.

Percy chuckled then tugged on his arm, pulling him into his lap easily...okay  now thats just strange, even if they were suddenly really close you dont go around doing that to  people. They might have some kind of relationship... I laughed at myself, asif. Percy was straight and Nico is incapable of love, problem solved.

 "Someones in a bad mood" Percy smiled and Nico squirmed lightly but eventually gave up and sunk into Percy, looking more then exhausted. "im just..im just really confused. I really want to tell Hazel...but if she rejects me..Percy.." he looked up at him sadly, their eyes locking and some kind of message was passed "..I couldnt live with that" he whispers.

What does he mean? Whats this secret their keeping from Hazel?

Percy placed his hand under Nicos chin, the light of the moon reflecting a tear that was trickiling down his cheek...how weak..

"Nico, I promise I wont let that happen. Im sure shell love you for who you are" He sighed sadly and closed his eyes, taking in a deep breath "Percy im a fre-"

"your not a freak!" he snaps, his tone still gentle but it was easy to tell that their was no changing his mind. I dont have a clue what there going on about but Nico is a freak, everyone knows that.

"Percy I-" "we will get  through this Nico, even if we have to go through Tartarus and back" he cupped his cheeks in his hand, wiping away his tears with his thumb "im going to stay with your forever Nico, so your stuck with me. Theres plenty of time to tell your sister, you can wait as long as you want"

Nico shakily placed his hand over Percys and squeezed his eyes shut, more tears flowing freely down his face. He rubbed his head agaisnt his hand lightly "forever?" he whispered.

Percy placed their forehead together "forever" he whispered back, slowly bringing his lips down onto Nicos.....fags!
