Chapter Eleven: Things Are Getting Better

~Thailia's P.O.V~

I missed Annabeth.

I know everyone else did but I really really missed her. She was like my sister but I had to be strong, she wouldnt want me crying and moping around. For Percy it was different though, they loved eachother..but now he was just broke.

I sighed as I walked back into my cabin "-so they can stay?" I heard Jason ask and I followed his voice into the living room. He was sitting on the couch, the small rainbow maker that Chiron had placed in every cabin was on the table in front of him. An image of Reyna hovered above it, she was dressed in her usual purple toga and her hair was in a plate over her shoulder.

"yes they can stay" she said and I heard Jason let out a breath of relief "thanks Reyna" he smiled as I walked in behind him. "Thalia" Reyna said, half glad but it was mixed with something else that i could quiet point out. Jason looked up at me with a small smile.

 "hey Reyna" I said, my voice low and her expression softened "..im sorry about your loss" she said quietly before waving her hand through the mist and the connection was lost. "..that went well" I said and he chuckled "shes just in a bad mood. Octavian is being a dic-" I slapped my arm "language!" I scolded but I was biting back a laugh.

"yes ma'am" he laughed "what did Reyna say?" I ask as I sit next  to him. "we can stay" he smiled and I let a grin slip onto my face "great, you'll have to go tell Frank and Hazel" I say and he nods, standing up "ill be as quick as I can" he says and gabs his coat before strolling out.

~Frank's P.O.V.~

I was sitting by the fireplace with Hazel, reading a book. She was reading Divergent, which is apparently the best book ever!. She had forced me to read Paper Towns, ill admit it isnt a bad book..but ill never tell her that.

I heard a knock on the door and we both jumped. I chuckled "ill get it" I say and slipped by book mark into the page before standing up. "hey Frank" Jason smiled when I opened it "hey,  everything okay?" I asked and he nodded "ive got good news and ive got bad news.." he says slowly and I tilt my head a little "whats the bad news?" I ask

"it would make more sense if I tell you the good news first" he says then a grin spreads out on his face "we can stay until Christmas!" I felt a grin tug on my lips too "thats great! ...but whats the bad news?" I ask again

"well we have to go the next day, no more asking we have to go straight back" he says and I shrug "it would be better if we could stay longer but at least we can stay for christmas" I smile and he nods "yeah your right". "Hazels going to be thrillled" I laugh

 It might not have been really long but we were glad that we got to stay.

 ~Leo's P.O.V.~

*~TIME SKIP~*

All the campers were sitting around the campfire, and I mean ALL of them. Percy arrived with Nico a minute after everyone else. We where all shocked to see him. As he walked over to us people walked along and told him how sorry they where but he didnt seem to be listening them and pushed past them and sat down besides me.

Grover had arrived yesterday, after we had iris messgaed him and told him the news, so he was stting with me along with Thalia, Piper, Jason, Frank and Hazel. We looked up at him and Grover gave him a small smile "hey G-man" Percy smiled and I relaxed. He seemed ALOT better then when I last saw him.

"blaa-ha-ha hey percy" he smiled back and they sat infront of us for a few minutes and talked in hushed tones. "you okay Nico?" Piper asked and I looked over at him, he was smiling down at the floor?..

He looked up when Piper said his name though "hm? oh yeah fine thanks" he said and gave her a smile. Everyone seemed to be in a better mood. Probably because the news had settLed now, it was mostly just shock that started all the crying.

"you did a good job with Percy" Hazel smiled at her brother "we didnt think you guys where going to come" Nico..chuckled?! "ALOT of hard work, but there was no way I was letting him miss this"

Nico and Jason seemed to be having a silent arguement but I think I was the only one who noticed, They kept glaring at eachother and judging form Jasons expression he was loosing.

Percy and Grover stood up and we all moved around. I sat beside Grover who was by Frank and Hazel, Piper was next to her. Nico and Percy sat on the very front by the fire and Jason went behind them with Thalia. An odd assemble but it made everyone happy...well as happy as you can be at a funreal for one of your best friends which is a microscopic amount of happyness.

~Jason's P.O.V.~

Chiron began and I leant back against Pipers legs, letting her hands run through my hair. Everyone seemed to have calmed down now and things werent as bad as it was before.

Im pretty sure that no one expected Percy or Nico to come but I was glad they where, even if this was thir first time out of their cabin. Well it isnt their cabin but theyve both been staying in it. Even though this must have been really hard on him but it was good for Percy to be here. I hadnt asked them about our little 'misunderstanding' yesterday but I was determend to find out.

Pretty soon near enough everyone had tears in their eyes. Percy was asked to place Annabeths shrowd into the flames. He stood up slowly and all eyes trained onto him as he made his way down the steps towards Chiron. He whispered something to him before Percy nodded and took the shrowd, it was light grey with a owl in the centre, darker so it stood out. The flames died down, he layed it down and muttered something before it was ingulfed in fire.

He walked back over to us with his head slightly bowed and as he sat back down next to Nico the light made one of the tears down his cheek glisten. Nico said something to him but it was to low to hear "........" Percy shook his head "he..h-he said I didnt have to say anything" he croaked and Nico nodded.

Everyone was quiet then as they watched Annabeths shrowd burn. I wiped my eyes on my sleeve and as I looked down I saw Percys and Nico entwined hands and I couldnt help but smile.
