Remembering To Forget (Harry Styles FanFic)

Chapter Thirty Eight

Kendall's POV:

    I looked down at the magazine that was on display. Picking it up, I flipped through the pages until one caught my eye. It was titled 'Karry's Day Out!' I looked at the article and read it. "One Direction's member Harry Styles was seen out walking around in London with Kendall Woods, his girlfriend of seven months. The two of them looked very happy to be together again, seeing as One Direction was on a three month tour. They were walking around, laughing, drinking Starbucks, and enjoying each other's company. Very adorable, we think!"

    Along with the article, there were many pictures of Harry and I walking. Our eyes were hidden behind our sunglasses, but there was no hiding the smile on our faces. We looked exactly like a celebrity couple, walking while we tried to keep it low. Another one had us walking with each holding our Starbucks. My left hand was tucking a lock of my red hair behind my ear as my right hand was holding my coffee and iPhone. Harry was sipping his coffee and had his arm draped over my shoulders. Other pictures were just like that, but in different angles.

    Chuckling, I put the magazine back down and walked down the aisle. I was at a local drug store, buying some gum. I know, random. But I was bored. Once I found my favorite gum, I payed for it and walked out. I took  out my keys and crossed the wide straight to get to the parking lot to my car. But I made the stupid decision of not checking from side to side for cars, because when I was in the middle of the road, a loud honk sounded. That was the last thing I heard before feeling unbearable pain and blacking out.

Eleanor's POV: (A/N: I'm using El's POV for this because I wanted a different perspective, instead of Harry's.)

    "NIALL, THOSE ARE MY CARROTS!!" Louis shouted at the Irish man.

    "But I'm hungry!" Niall whined.

    I sighed, shaking my head. "Lou, babe, just sit down."

    "But babe," Louis complained. "Those are my carrots!"

    I gave him a stern look and he sat down next to me, defeated. Danielle and I are over at the boys' house, and it's a natural chaos here. Nothing new. I saw Harry on his phone, probably on Twitter, when it suddenly began to rang. "Hello?" he asked, picking it up. "Yes, this is Harry," he said, confused. Then, his face visibly paled and eyes widened. Oh no, something was wrong. "Y-Yes, we'll b-be there s-soon," he stuttered. Everyone was staring at him intently as he hung up. Tears were in his eyes as he said, "Kendall's in the hospital."

    That was all he needed to say for us to stop what we were doing and run to our cars. Liam, Danielle, and Niall went with Harry in his car while Zayn joined Louis and I in Louis' car. I hope Kendall's okay. She's like a sister to me, and if anything happens to her, we're all going to break down - not just Harry. I was looking out the passenger seat's window as I bit my nails. Please let her be okay. I saw Louis was very worried, and it's safe to say that so was Zayn. Within ten minutes, we got to the hospital. As soon as Louis parked the car, we jumped out and met up with the others as we ran in. We asked the lady at the front desk what room Kendall is in, and once we found out, we went over there. Harry has a wild look on his face, and I could see tears threatening to spill out.

    We saw a doctor come out of Kendall's room and Harry asked him, "How is Kendall? What happened with her?"

    The doctor sighed. "She was hit by van while she was crossing the road," he explained. "She took a pretty hit, and I'm afraid to say this, but she's in a coma. We don't know when she will wake up," he said sadly.

    Everyone froze, until Liam managed to ask, "Can we go see her?"

    The doctor nodded and we all stepped in. Kendall's hospital room was fairly big, so all of us could fit in. And then, we saw her. She looked so pale, her eyes closed and her mouth shut. The heart rate monitor that was hooked up to her left slow and steady beeps that would echo off the room's walls. There was a white bandage that was wrapped around her head, and her brilliant red hair was a bit tangled. Harry immediately rushed to her side and took her hand in his. I put my hand over my mouth, afraid that a sob might slip out. Louis wrapped his arms around me, and I buried my face in his chest.

    The door suddenly opened and in came Perrie and Erin with concern looks on their faces. When their eyes laid on Kendall's body, they gasped and their boyfriends took them. "Kendall," Harry's voice was barely a whisper. "Please, be okay. You need to wake up..."

Okay. Please don't hate me for making this so short. I wrote this in a hurry because I was going somewhere, and I didn't have enough time. And please don't hate me for putting Kendall in the hospital AGAIN.

The last time she was in the hospital, she was there for a few days. But this time she's in a coma, and in the next chapters, you're going to see everyone's reaction of her being in the coma. I'm going to try to make the chapters long, but with school soon starting, I need to finish my summer assignments, so I may or may not post a chapter every day for this or any other story.
