Kendall's POV:

"Are you sure? I can stay if you want, I'll drive you home," Chanel said in a worried tone as she takes off her apron.

It was a Friday night, and I had the late shift at Starbucks. Chanel has been driving me to and fro work, and since she doesn't have the late shift, she's free to go. It's half past nine right now, and my shift ends at eleven. And if Chanel leaves, my only way to get home is by walking, and she's worried that something might happen to me if I walk by myself. You could say that she is a worry-wart. But on top of that, she is an amazing best friend.

I chuckled, "It's honestly fine, Chanel. You go on, I'll be alright."

Chanel let out a sigh. "Okay, if you say so. I'll text you, yeah?"

    I nodded. "Okay! Bye."

She waved and walked off. I was currently the only employee at Starbucks right now, except for the six or seven customers here. By this time, our Starbucks only offered beverages which I can make. The kitchen is only for the pastries or whatever, so there are no chefs here. For the next two hours, I served the remaining customers here - not that there were many - and just tidied up a bit. By the time I was done, it was time for my shift to be over and Leslie, the girl who was taking over, strolled in. We exchanged our greetings and goodbyes and I left.

I grabbed my jacket from the back and walked on the sidewalk towards the direction of my house. Since it was an hour before midnight, it was quiet dark, and eerily quiet. It was also really windy, so it was really frightening. I thought I heard some footsteps behind me, but when I turned around, no one was there. Turning back, I quickened my pace and could feel my heart beating really fast. Again, I heard footsteps behind me. And this time, when I turned around, I was tackled into a nearby alley. I was lying down on my back as the weight of my attacker held me down.

"LET ME GO!" I yelled as I tried to catch my breath.

"Shut up you bitch," a rough voice snarled. It was most definitely a male.

I didn't listen to him, and continued screaming. "HELP! SOMEBODY HELP ME!!"

"I thought I told you to shut the fuck up?!” the rough voice hissed, and I felt my right cheek sting. The guy had slapped me.

But me, beng the stubborn person I am, continued to shout for help. “SOMEBODY! PEASE, HELP ME!!”

I felt a sudden pain in my stomach and in my head. Not only did the guy smash my head on the hard pavement, but he also punched me right in the stomach as well. The pain was defeaning, and hot tears brimmed my eyes. The guy was still sitting on top of me, but insead of sitting on my legs like he was before, he was now sitting on my stomach – where he had punched me.

“You and me,” the guys said quietly, the alcohol in his breath disgusting, “we’re gonna have a fun night.”

“HELP!!” was all I could scream out before I saw the guy starting to unbuckle his belt.
