"Max come down stairs for breakfast," Max's mom called but got no response.
"Max? MAX! COME DOWN HERE!!!!" Max's mom yelled however still got no response.
"THAT'S IT I'M COMING UP!!" Yelled his mom to only to find an empty room with an empty bed and just a sticky note that said...

Dear Mom,
I went to school early today because I had a test and I needed some extra time to study. Don't worry I will be home before 6:00 tonight. Until then stay in the house I don't want you to step a foot outside the door, and under NO CIRCUMSTANCES do you open the door and especially answer. Until I come home.

Max

Later that day...
"Mom, I'm home!!!" Called Max to his mom as he walked through the door.
"Good, I want you to come with me for just a second," responds his mom as she walked into the room.
"Go where??" Asked Max, sitting down.
"We are going next door to say hello and welcome them to the neighborhood! I don't want to hear anything Mr. Now get your shoes on, we're going," demanded his mom. One minute later they were out the door and at the neighbors.
"DING DONG, DING DONG, DING DONG," came the bell to the old house only to soon be answered by a tall pale white black haired man at the door who had half his shirt unbuttoned like he had just woken up from a deep sleep. But what freaked out Max was his eyes because they didn't seem right.
"Who are you and what do you want?" The strange man said in a harsh deep voice.
"Hello!! My name is Holly Black. I live right next door to you. My son Max Black and I wanted to come over and say hello and welcome you to the neighborhood!!!!" Said his mom cheerfully, completely unscathed by the man.
"Mrs. Black, was it? My name is Vladimir Gray. Call me Mr. Gray. Would there be a Mr, behind your name?" Mr. Gray asked.
"Yes there is, however he is at work right now and couldn't make it to meet you!" Max's mom said in response to the questions.
"Indeed I have a Mrs as well however she is at the store. This is your son you said?" Once again asked Mr. Gray.
"Yes! This is Max he's 13 years old and he goes to the public school down the street called Woodway Middle School. He is a senior there!" Replied Max's mom going in deeper then Max would have liked to.
"I see..." said Mr. Gray with a far away voice when suddenly a car pulled up in the driveway.
"Well that must be your wife so we will be on our way but if you have any questions please come over and I will be happy to answer them!" Max's mom as they moved out of the way and into their own house.
The next day...
"Hey. Did you hear the news there's a new kid from Pennsylvania who just moved here? I think she's your neighbor!" Said Luke as Max walked into class.
"No way. I saw my new neighbor and he does not have any kids. There is no way the new kid is my neighbor." Max argued with Luke.
"I wouldn't be so sure after all you never know!" Luke added to his friends response.
"Prove it-" Max started to say but interrupted by a girl who was obsessed with him called Luca.
"Guys, the new kid is here with a high schooler from Woodway High School. OH! Hi ...Max..." Luca said, blushing when looking at him.
"Go away Luca. I don't have time to deal with you. Go bug someone else F-O-R-E-V-E-R!"
"AW!!! You're just shy!!!" Luca responded.
"How dare you talk to him, you little brat," Luke said, interrupting the conversation between the two. "Go away were busy".
"I'm telling the teacher what you called me, Luke. You're going to get in trouble. The teacher loves me, but hates you," Luca replied to Luke and his comments.
"Good, it will give me more time with Max!!!" Luke yelled to Luca as she stormed away to the classroom to tell on him.
Later at lunch...
"Dude, come here. I got us a spot in the lunch line to get food. Where were you? Are you ok?" Max asked luke as he got to the cafeteria.
"Ya, I'm fine. Just like always, I just got a warning. From the looks of it, the She Devil didn't put you in the story, like always." Luke responded. Luke always referred to Luca as   "The She Devil".
"Ya. She's weird," Max said sitting down when suddenly a girl with long black hair that goes down to her ankles with green eyes and is short comes over.
"H-Hello... um... there... no where to... sit... can I... sit," said the girl, almost like she couldn't speak English and was scared.
"YA!... You could sit next to her-I mean sit next to me," replied Max, stumbling on his words almost like he's under a spell.
"Thank.... You..." The girl said. "I'm... Luna.... Luna Gray..." Luna said quietly so only Max could hear.
"Gray?? As in Mr. Gray the guy who lives on Witchook meadows?" Max asked quietly.
"Yes... he's my father..." Luna said still being quiet so she will not be overheard my Luke.
"Wow. They were right, I'm Max Black. I live right next door to you on your right. I went over to your house yesterday and I didn't see you there," Max replied more quietly, because Luke was leaning closer to their conversation.
"Oh... I was in my room... unpacking... we moved in.... the morning," Luna replied.
"I know... I saw... I was in the front of the crowd," Luke said. For the rest of the day she only talked to Max. Completely ignoring Luke and his attempts to get her attention.
After school....
"Dude, the math teacher was so mean today it was insane- hey are you listening to me? What are you looking at?" Luke asked, annoyed that his friend isn't paying attention to him. Only to find that he's staring at the new kid Luna. Suddenly a car pulls up with scream music blasting through the doors even before the driver opens the door. The driver is 17 years old and goes to Woodway High school down the street.
"Hey you little brat, get in the car now. We're going!" Yelled the teen through the open window to Luna. Luna climbed into the car and they took off like a race car down the street. Then Max thought to himself...
How did he yell over the music. No one can tell that loud, It's humanly impossible.
