Chapter 5: The Fight

"Max! Please tell me your here today to say good morning?" Max's mom called.
"For once yes." Max called to his mom as he was coming down the stairs.
"Yay! My son finally came home to me! Where were you? I don't like you going some place without me knowing anything!!" Max's mom protests to him.
"I was places. I didn't leave town or the country. I was just out with a friend." Max responded.
"A friend. I know it's not Luke so is it the mystery friend I have heard so much about?" His mom asked.
"Oh no!! I forgot about Luke!! Oh I hope he's not to mad at me!!" Max cried and before his mom could get an answer to her question he was out the door heading towards school.
At school...
"Luke!!! Luke!!! Luke!!!" Called max as he ran after Luke.
"GO AWAY!!" Luke yelled at him.
"Luke I Know you must be mad at me for not spending the weekend with you, but something came up." Max said once he got next to Luke.
"Oh really. What had to be so important that you disappear for the whole weekend without even letting your mom know where you are let alone your friend?" Luke asked still angry at Max.
"I... I can't tell you that..." Max said.
"See. You can't tell what you were doing! I don't trust you, and this just happened to get up the courage to tell you that I..." Luke started but couldn't finish.
"Just when you what? I don't think I am the only person who has been keeping secrets. What are hiding that you were going to tell me?" Max said finishing Luke's sentence for him.
"Why could I tell you that? You won't tell me your secret!" Luke protested.
"But that's because I can't. However you can. You have no excuse not to tell me." Max said angrily.
"Fine!!! You want to know so badly, Fine!! I'm GAY!!! I'm in love with you!!!" Luke said in tears.
"That doesn't matter. If your gay or not. Your still my friend. With you telling me that I know you will always be with me." Max replied to his friend without hesitation or a change in physical or mental approach towards his friend than just a few minutes ago. 
"So your really ok with me being like this?" Luke asked surprised
"Yes. No matter what your are or who you are. No matter what choices you make I will always be there for you." Max said something Like as they walked into school together.
At lunch... Max thought to himself...
Where's Luna she isn't here today? I will text her to see where she is. I hope she's not in trouble...
Max pulled out his phone and began to type...

Hey Luna it's me Max. You said you would be here today, but your not. Is everything ok? Do you need my help? Where are you?
Max

Max, I'm in trouble my brother and my dad found out about us, they locked me in the basement. I need your help. Please come. It's dark and full of creachers down here. Be careful my brother is coming for you.(Oh I can't wait to get my hands on my brother). Anyways watch your back. I have to go my dad's coming pleases hurry Max.
Luna

Luna!! Hey Luna answer me!!! Luna!!! - Max
(No response)

"Crap!!!" Max yelled right as luna didn't answer.
"Max. Hey are you ok?" Luke asked concerned.
"No. Something important came up I have to go, but I will see you later!" Max yelled to Luke as he burst through the school doors, running to Luna's house. When he got to her house Ric (Luna's brother) was waiting for him at the front of the house.
"I told you to stay away from her now your going to pay the price" Ric yelled charging at Max. Max had no time to react Ric was already to close. In a matter of seconds Max had a sharp pain in his spine that consumed him. The pain left as fast as it came. Max was on the ground but still breathing, he was still alive. The weird thing is Max wasn't hurt. He didn't even have a scratch or bruise on him.
"What. How are you not dead. I crushed your back. You should have died instantly!" Ric said in confusion. Ric didn't have time to react, for Max went from in front of Ric to behind him in a second. Ric tried to turn to face Max but not before Max was on top of him, hitting Ric with the force of a bull and the sharpness of a blade. Soon Ric was passed out on the ground with scars and cuts all over him. Once Max wook up from his dase he looked down to see Ric there.
"Oh no" Max said as he raced towards Ric trying to help him. Max didn't know what happened. The last thing he remembered was the pain in his back. In his memory everything went black. Once Ric was taken care of and was alright. Max tied Ric up just in case he woke up from his sleep. As soon as Max calmed down he remembered what happened, but he didn't have time to dwell on that he had more pressing matters to do. Max took Ric into the house and set him in the living room. Luna's house had white walls and four rooms on the main floor, the living room, the dining room, the kitchen and what looked like a weapons room. Max didn't know why they had a weapons room and not a TV like everyone else did in the neighborhood. Right in front of the door there was two more doors one door was leading upstares witch he found four bedrooms in. Another door lead into the basement. Max carefully opened the basement door to just was Luna described in her text. The basement was so dark that not even a flashlight could get through the darkness. As Max walked down the stairs he saw many bugs and other animals some he recognized and others he didn't. As soon as he turned to the wall he saw something he feared. Luna was against the wall passed out with her father in the corner with a unrecognizable weapon in his hand. Max fully had his attention on Mr. Gray.
"Well, well, well. Looks like you beat Ric and your stupid enough to come down here looking for her." Mrs. Gray said. "Do you have any last words?"
"Ya. Kiss your daughter goodbye old man for your time with her is up. I'm not leaving here without her." Max said strong and definitely.
"So you want to challenge me for her? You are more naive than I thought." Mr. Gray said mockingly.
"What did you do to Luna?" Max said angrily.
"Oh a little bit of this, and a little bit of that. Nothing you would understand after all you're just a human boy. Although I don't know how you got passed my son." Mr. Gray commented
"That's it you're dead!" Max yelled and he ran at Mr. Gray, then everything went black. Max went unhuman. He became hard as stone and as strong as the great wall. Max knocked the weapon out of Mr. Gray's hand and using his bare hands broke him down. When Max's cleared his head he saw Mr. Gray was on the floor like he just went into a war by himself. He fixed Mr. Gray and put him up with his son. Then Max went downstairs picked up Luna and carried her to her room where he nursed her back to health. Once Luna wook up she saw Max...
"Max.... I knew you.... Would come...." Luna said struggling to speak.
"Shhhhh... don't talk just get better." Max said softly to her. Max stade at Luna's place for three days taking care of Luna and her family once they all wook up, making sure they were seperated. Once they all woke up and Mrs. Gray came home it was time of a talk.
