Chapter 3: Secrets

It's saturday... Max's mom is going into the kitchen to make some coffee for herself when she sees another note left by her son...

Mom,
I went out for a while and i won't be back for sometime. I'm with a friend today. The same rules apply just as last time  don't want you to step a foot outside the door, and under NO CIRCUMSTANCES do you open the door and especially answer. Until I come home. Stay safe.

On the afternoon of friday just after school...
"Max what are you doing over the weekend?" Luke asked.
"I don't know yet..." Said Max as he was opening up his backpack to find a note with his name on it on top of all his things saying...

Max,
It's me Luna. I want you to meet me at the old park at 3:00 am tomorrow. I want to talk to you some more. Please come alone I want it to be with you and just you... Until then, have a good weekend.

At 3:00am:
"Max!" came Luna from the center tree in the middle of the park.
"Luna! There you are! How did you get up there?" Max responded.
"I have my ways" Luna said jumping down off the tree and landing without a sound.
"What happened? Your not studdering anymore?" Max asked.
"Well I guess I got used to you and your kind to me..." Luna said looking at the ground. She almost seemed to be blushing but Max couldn't tell with the lighting. All he knew for sure was that he was red as a tomato. All Max hoped is that she couldn't see his face. Then max thought...
How did she land that quietly it didn't seem real...
But Max quickly dismissed the thought. Luna and Max spent the whole morning together until the sun started to come up, when they walked home together, exchange phone numbers and walked into their homes.
Later after Max and Luna are done talking...
"Mom I'm back!!" Max yelled when he got home.
"Honey where were you I called Luke's mom to see if you were with him and she said she hadn't seen you all day!!" Max's mom called from the kitchen. "And what's with the notes?"
"I was with a new friend from school, and I didn't want to bug you so I left you notes." Max responding to his mom's questions. When suddenly the doorbell rang...
DING DONG, DING DONG
"I will get it." Max called to his mom. However Max thought it was the mailman when really it was the teen that was at the school picking up Luna.
"Hey kid we haven't meet. I'm Ric, Ric Gray. I saw you with my little sister Luna. I am going to say this once. Stay away from her. If I see her with you again I will snap your neck like a toothpick." Ric said in a voice that's smooth but intimidating. The voice that makes little kids cry.
"Oh.. Well... I'm Max Black-"  Max started but couldn't finish.
"I don't care who you are! Just stay out of my way!" Said Ric interrupting max. Though no one knew at the time Luna was watching and hearing everything from her bedroom window. The only few thoughts in her head at the time when she heard it all was...
Brother you better prepare yourself for I am coming for you.
Max please don't be scared off from this. There is so much I need to tell you. Besides my brother can't keep us apart nor can my father. The worst has happened in their eyes. I found the one.... And I did 'It' ... there's no stopping us now. Soon the time will come. When it does I know which side I will be on... that I will always be on.
