Monster
Chapter Nine: The Powers That They Posess

Draigin's P.O.V.

"Is this the girl" he asks his thick German accent covering his whisper while he watches the couple sleeping on the hotel bed.

"Yes..you know what to do" The woman who tried to bury young Lily alive speaks from under her dark hood. "Yes Isabelle" he steps closer to the woman and lightly presses his fingers against her forehead. Inhaling softly a dim green light expanded from the center of his palm and crawled to his fingertips. The woman moaned lightly while the man tightened his grip around the girls waist, as he retains the memories and knowledge of Meredith the soft moonlight cascades across the room and onto us.

Letting go of her the man turns to us and smiles. "It's done" I nod in approval as I turn around I look back at him. "Stay here make sure they don't leave" I command and the man nods not moving from his spot, I walk through the other room and out of the hotel as the moonlight brings warmth to my skin I feel a darkness in the pit of my stomach brighten. "We should have killed her when we had the chance" Isabelle spits out in anger as I spin around and stop her in her tracks. "You have no idea what you are doing! Lilian is part of the prophecy which means we can't kill her! The prophecy states that she will become the new ruler of the Tepas which also means I die so we have to do everything in our power to keep that from happening!" The darkness returned in my stomach and has grown.

"Alright...what's next?" Isabelle backs down. "We use the father to get the daughter.."

-----Hours Later-----

Meredith's P.O.V.

"Hey babe?" I call to Jackson feeling a sharp pain in my head. "Yes my love" he calls brightly while drying out his damped hair, sitting on the bed with me I search through the medical kit Jackson carried with him. "Do you have any Advil? I have an awful head ache" I groan feeling sharp stakes sliding into my head. "Here" his eyes meet mine as he slides his left hand behind my head he pulls me closer, kissing my forehead I feel the pain increase.

"Is that better?" He releases me as I stiffen my back to sit up straight I shake my head. "No...sorry" I keep shuffling through the bag. "I think I left it in the car" he climbs through a gray shirt as I stand up and slip into my flip flops I walk out of the hotel room and walk to the car.

Scrapping my feet against the wet tar I swipe my hand towards me automatically opening the door as I reach inside the back seat I see a small bottle of Advil laying in the corner. I snatch it from its place and close the door behind me. Whoosh! A cool breeze lifts my hair up against my shoulders. I turn to face the wind and see a woman her chocolate brown hair drifting in the wind. "Excuse me...ma'am" walking to her slowly I see a familiar figure. My heart pounding along with my head her head slowly turns revealing her face.

As if I was looking into a mirror I see my own face staring me in the eyes, her blue t-shirt, gray shorts, and pink flip flops match mine down to the exact detail. "Hello Meredith" her soft voice almost sounded like a nonexistent recording of my voice. "How-" her red eyes shine with joy as she stands from her meditating position I back away. "How are you-?" I choke on the words I spit. "Shh-shh" her calming voice increases the tense in my muscles. "Run" back to her normal voice her red eyes flashed into a dark green. Sprinting away from her I try not to trip on my own feet as the wind takes a tornado like speed I am launched from the ground and thrown through the patio glass door.
