It's Mark's operation day. Derek went to his room. No one was there.

,,where is your girl? "

,,she has her patients. I asked her to go and do her job. " said Mark.

,,you know, you're gonna get bored, so I'm gonna send Karev. He's gonna prepare you for surgery."

,,thanks amigo, and you know, if something happens to me, take care to Lexie."

,,I'm not listening now, okay? You're gonna take care of her when you wake up. "  and Derek  left his room.

(Later)

,,hey, Karev, please prepare Mark for surgery, and talk to him. He's bored. He really doesn't like tv shows. "

,,Me? Can't anyone go? Like Lexie or Mer or something. "

,,go!"

,,fine"

Alex went to marks room.

,,good morning Dr Sloan . What can I do for you? Does anything hurt? "

,,you know I'm fine. My labs are perfect. I'm ready for the surgery. But you... You have so much pain in your eyes. So tell me. Is it about a girl? "

,,I don't wanna talk about it "

,, ah it's definitely about a girl. So what's her name? "

,,you know what? I'm leaving"

Alex walked towards the door when Mark said.

,,come back or I will tell Derek to keep you out of the OR for whole week. come back and tell me everything"

Alex turned around, sat on the chair next to the bed and looked at Mark.

,,ask me whatever you want to know."

,,okay so what's her name? "

,,Eva "

,,she works here?"

,,yes"

,,what do you think, do you  have a chance to her? "

,,probably no. "

,,listen, you don't know that. If you love someone you tell them. Even if you’re scared that it’s not the right thing. Even if you’re scared it’ll cause problems. Even if you’re scared that it will burn your life to the ground. You say it. You say it loud. "

,,no, in this case it's not the right thing to do. I fought for her but ...."

,,stop being like that! You still see her everiday in hospital, you still can talk to her at any moment. If you really think that you have no chance, you have to get over it. All you can do is be brave enough to get out there. You fought. You loved. You Lost. Walk tall.”

,,you know, you're right. But I'm not gonna give up so easy. I'm gonna talk to L.... Eva and tell her everything. But not right now. Thanks man"

,,you're welcome, but answer this one more question, but now  honestly. What did you lie to me? "

Alex was quiet for a moment. He was thinking. But than he said the truth.

,,only a name" and he left the room.

[Lexie]

Clear! Push another epi.

Charge again.
Come on, Mrs Wallington.
Clear!

[machine flatlining]

l'm so sorry. She's not responding.
We've done everything, she's gone.

Time of death 13:07

She left the room and went to on call room. Unfortunately it was not empty. Meredith was lying on a bed.

,,uh, um sorry. I'll go."

,,no come back. Lay here. What happened? "

,,I'm killing every patient today. I'm so nervous about Mark's operation. I hope everything is gonna be alright, but what if ...."

,,No! Stop thinking about it. You understand me? My boy is gonna save your boy. McDreamy will save McSteamy. So, Now go be with Mark."

,, I don't wanna cry in front of him. He will worry and..."

,,than don't. " said Meredith, smiled with her whole heart and hugged Lexie. ,,we don't get unlimited chances to have the things that we want. I'm sure you prefer hugging Mark. So why are you still here? Now stand up, smile and go "

Lexie stood up, she was going to leave but, turned around, gave Meredith a big smile and said:

,,you know I missed you so much right? You say you are dark and twisty, but you are one of the best person who are in my life."

,,I love you too Lex"

(Lexie opening Mark's room's door.)

,,Heey, how are you.....  or should I ask where are you?"

She ran to the OR. And saw Derek talking to Mark.

,,are you ready? " asked Derek.

,,amigo, please don't kill me. Also can't we wait for a minute? I hope Lexie would come and wish me luck. "

,,I'm here" said Lexie behind Derek. She kissed him wished him luck and left the OR.

Mark fall asleep. Derek was quiet for a moment, and than he said this with a big smile.

,,alright everybody, it's a beautiful day to save lives. Let's do this.
Bokhi scalpel. "

When Lexie left the OR, he was going to gallery when Meredith, Bailey and Webber stood in front of her.  They didn't let Lexie go in the gallery because  Derek asked so.  Than Meredith hugged her and took her  in on call room. They sat on the floor. Meredith had Lexie' s hand in her hands.

Derek was still operating.

,,Damn it. Some of the Sylvian vessels are wrapped around the tumor capsule." He said that and added:

,,Penfield four, please."

,,Really? - lnstead of the arachnoid knife? " asked someone.

,,Yes, instead of the arachnoid knife.
Because the Penfield four will let me slide the arteries around the met.
l need to dissect it free so l can de-bulk the tumor, avoiding unnecessary trauma to my patient.
So, yes, Penfield four, please."
