After a non-stop tirade from Sehun, the managers finally relented that I was able to travel with EXO on the same plane to get to their latest tour in Chile.
"On account that you're one of Sehun's family member...." Manager Lee muttered under his breath. "We're not going to be responsible with what happens to you during the stampede that's bound to happen at the airport though...."
Go figure that SM is that apathetic & callous.
"That's alright, I'll protect her." Sehun wrapped his arms around my shoulder from behind and proclaimed in a tone that was presumably followed by a defiant tongue sticking out. I sighed, the maknae's going to stay a maknae...
"Sehun, if you're really planning to proceed with this, I have to advice you that the best thing you could do to keep your girlfriend safe is to keep your distance from her. You don't want a flock of malevolent sasaengs crowding her. Stick with the members & leave her alone temporarily. It's for the best for the both of you, and the fans. Got it?" Manager Lee looked at him with such a stern expression that I couldn't help but gulp, albeit his words not directed towards me.
Sehun looked at me and caught a glimpse of my innocent eyes, one that's yet to witness the slaughterhouse a.k.a. airport whenever the Nation's Pick is around.
"Got it." Sehun nodded solemnly & wrote a mental note to himself to brief you about Airport Survival 101.

During the car ride, Sehun held my hand & patiently taught me the protocols of what to do during common scenarios.
"Because you're not assigned a bodyguard, keep your head low & try not to make any eye contact with fans as so not to attract too much attention."
I nodded half-heartedly & joked: "Sehun, relax! They're after you, not me! Just keep your distance, I'll be fine! I don't even think any of them would recognize me, and if they're mean to me, I'll just use my hapkido skills on them. Well, a little for what Baekhyun oppa taught me anyway." I giggled & Sehun couldn't help but soften.
"Sorry I'm sounding like Suho hyung right now..." Sehun started while Junmyeon dejected from the front seat of the van. "But I'm just worried about you coping."
We're dropped off at the drop-off area of the airport. The plan is for me to maintain at least a 1 kilometre distance from the rest of the EXO members, who would get off the van a few minutes before me. The boys wished me luck and Jongin pinched my cheek fondly before braving the human storm.
Sehun pecked me on the lips & murmured gently: "Text me if you need me, I'll be back for you." I nodded duly but solemnly pledge in my heart that I won't. I didn't wanna stir up anymore drama for him. The management are tense enough as they already are.
A few minutes later, Manager Lee texted me: "Get off now, stay safe."
