Jamie looked at Allen over the rim of his surgical mask. "How do you like that brand new Volkswagen of yours Dr. Chase?"
"It's the hottest thing on four wheels. Alicia couldn't get me a better birthday present than that."
"I wish someone would give me a car for my birthday." Jamie replied.
Allen held his hand out to Jamie. "Ten blade." He proceeded to make the incision. "You still drive that little old Honda of yours?"
"I still drive that little old Honda of mine. I'll probably keep it until it falls apart."
"You're a surgeon Jamie. You can afford better than a damn Honda Civic."
"I know, but I like it."
Allen looked at the monitors behind Jamie. "What does the patient vitals look like nurse?"
"The patient is doing good doctor."
"Good, and how are you doing?"
"Just listening to you two discussing cars. I could swear I'm in a mechanic workshop and not an operation room."
"And what do you drive Alison?" Allen asked the nurse.
"A Toyota Corolla. Not as fancy German car Dr. Chase."
"Can you imagine what it would be like if our medical equipment had be manufactured by the same people who manufactured cars?" Allen asked curiously. "Clamps."
Jamie snickered as he handed Allen the clamps. "The heart monitor would be made by?"
"Ford. Our x-ray machines would be made by?"
"BMW. Tweety bird would probably be made by?"
"Mercedes-Benz."
"And your scalpels and clamps will be made by Volkswagen," Alison irately replied to Allen's comment.

Allen was just done in surgery when he returned to his consulting rooms to check up on a few of his post-surgery patients. He just stepped into the waiting room when he saw Emily sitting in one of the chairs and looked at her concerned. "Do you have an appointment Miss Parker?"
"No, I just thought I would drop by and see how you are doing Dr. Chase?"
"I'm doing fine. Thank you."
"I saw you having coffee with another woman a while back and I didn't want to bother you then, so I came around again today."
Allen looked at her slightly alarmed. "Are you stalking me?"
"No. Not at all."
"You're stalking me!"
"I'm not."
"I think you should leave."
