After the police had left, Chloe went upstairs and constantly paced up and down her room whilst holding her mobile phone in her hand.

Her phone buzzed suddenly but it wasn't the police as she had been expecting but her friend Chas.
Hey Babe!
Fancy a good old catch up? I'm back in town for a few days before I gotta head straight back to York.
Let me know if you wanna meet up and we'll see what we can sort out!
Love,
Chas.

Chloe sighs, This was the last thing she needed. The thing she wanted the most in the world was that guy off the streets so he can't do what he did to anyone else.

Her mother popped her head around her door. "Are you okay sweetie? Any news?."

Chloe shook her head. "No not really although I have had a text from Chas asking if she wants to meet up."

Her mother nodded. "I see, No news is good news I suppose, You should do it honey, It'll take your mind off things."

Chloe smiles at her mother. "I suppose so, God I hate it when you're right!"

Her mother grinned back at her. " No you don't! You love it."  She winks at her. "What would you do without me eh?"

Her mother leaves the room leaving Chloe alone to figure out what she wanted to do.

Chloe decided that her mum was right after all there is better things to do than waiting frantically for news.

She quickly texts her friend back.
Hey babe,
Thanks for your message I would love to catch up. Can you meet me at your parents place in about 15 minutes?."

It wasn't long before Chloe got a reply from her friend. She thanked her lucky stars that Chas was such a quick texter. No matter what she was doing Chas always texted her rather quickly and took her texts seriously and as quite a priority.

That sounds good! I'll see you there! I'm looking forward to it already 😉 Xxx

Chloe smiles at the text. She decided she was going to see her friend and relax and have a laugh but at the same time she felt that she needed to tell her friend what was going on.

She picked up her coat off her coat hanger in the wardrobe and quickly zipped herself up.

Suddenly she felt something strange inside the right hand coat pocket. She pulled the contents out inside her hand.

What came out was a tissue. She looked at the tissue wondering if it was an old tissue she probably used earlier and should throw it away.

She touches it slightly and felt something from within the tissue. Carefully she unfolds the tissue revealing a tooth.

Flashbacks form inside her mind making her realise that this was the tooth, The very tooth that she knocked out of that so called man who thought he could rob her.

Little did he know that he thought wrong there didn't he?

She wraps the tooth back up carefully and runs downstairs to get a zipped plastic bag from the fridge and carefully places the tooth inside.

She looks at her watch if she hurries she just might make it to the police station and make it in time to see Chas.

She heads out of the house and walks quickly down the road with the bag in her hand.

She sees a taxi coming her way and quickly flags it down. "Police station please mate then we are going somewhere else if that's ok?"

The driver nodded at her and moved the car away on its journey.

It was no sooner than ten minutes before they arrived at their destination.
She looks at the taxi driver. "I'll be back in a minute okay mate?."

He nodded and switches on the radio.

Chloe exits the car and runs straight into the police station and stands at the reception desk. "Excuse me?."

An old man in police uniform looked up. "Yes?."

Chloe takes a deep breath. "I need you to give this to the officers that are looking into my case., My name is Chloe Meldona."

She hands one the plastic zipped bag containing the tooth. "It's his tooth, The guy who tried to mug me, You can test it for DNA to find this guy."

The man nodded. "Yes love, You did a good thing but really the Officers should really speak to you about this."

Chloe sighs. "They've already seen me and I've gotta be somewhere it's important but if it's really important for them to speak to me again surely they can come and find me in the morning?."

The old man nodded. "Very well, I'll see what I can do."

Chloe thanked the man and headed out to her taxi.

She resolved to be honest with her friend about what had happened but at the same time tonight she was going to have fun and focus on whatever problems this guy has left her tomorrow because tonight wasn't the night to be worrying about that.

After all, Life's too short isn't it?..
